    Is there some time period at which the crowner just ends or do they wait for it to "stabliize"?

    And what is the rationale for there needing to be a 2:1 ratio instead of just a majority?

    Crowners go between 3 days to a week. If it stays stable for a bit after 3 days have passed, it's done.
