    Because I don't think that Rocket is coming back for that Machop, and the main games do imply that the only reason you can't capture a trainer's Pokemon is because they block it themselves

    No. The Snagger class is all about doing this, so I'm assuming that you can't do it regularly.

    However, there's always the Allied Pokemon route.

    Write the new EXP amount on the Pokemon sheets, change the level to 7, and allocate the two new stat points. (Also, write where you allocated them plz :c)
