Guys
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7563
What happens when the devs take the creation kit for a week and go nuts.
Turns out my save files, WEREN'T corrupted after all.
Also, is it me or do maces really suck?
Doing that lighthouse miniquest. Far, far too low-level for it. Solution: illusion spells!
It is faster than normal horses, has infinite sprint, vanishes when you stop riding on it, can be summoned anywhere (even in your house), vanishes after 30 seconds if you don't ride on it, can survive (and let you survive) jumps from the highest of mountains, and the tome only costs ~5500 gold
^I don't like any of the skins though, if he puts in more I might use it for my mage character.
Also I created this via Alchemy/Enchanting shenanigans:
So...the Chaurus Reaper can one-shot me at this level
mind fuckery is generally seen as evil
It's used to kill dragons, and they're pacifists.
@Neo_Crimson: Maces do kinda suck, yes.
@INUH: But it doesn't actually deal damage, and yet they're okay with Fire Breath and stuff that do.
On the other hand, though, Fire Breath could be used for, say, lighting a torch, while Dragonrend literally has no other purpose than hunting dragons.
Now that I think about it, though, I think one of them mentions something about it being created from hatred for Dragons, though, and therefore absorbing its meaning makes that hatred a part of you.
Killed the Chaurus Reaper
And when I tried to save, my computer crashed and the save seems to be corrupted
^^ Paarthunax doesn't seem to mention anything like that though
...Unless I got WAY too caught up in his sexy voice and missed that entirely...
Paarthunax is also named "Ambition Overlord Cruelty," and of a species whose names indicate their personalities. I don't get the impression he's as strict about not hating stuff as the Greybeards are.
Also of a species that loves to name things with three syllables...
I wish, turns out magic resistance has a cap like armor. So no complete magic immunity for me.
^
Oh, if you're a vampire, you get benefits from the restoration perk that affect undead. All magic you are behind, INCLUDING enchantmented armour you wear and potions you drink, are boosted. This also means shouts you use recharge faster and have more power or a longer duration
Doesn't it stop having an effect after 80%?
^I didn't know that until after I crafted it.
Regardless I made a set of armor that gives me max armor/magic resist, free Alteration, nearly free Restoration, +149 health/stamina/Magicka, 49 more carry weight, 40% higher one handed damage, and a fuck ton of magic regen, so it's all good.
I beat the Chaurus Reaper in the lighthouse by staying on the shelf and hitting its babies with ranged magic until they called mommy over and I just stayed out of her reach as I whittled her down. XD
Aaaaannd Shadowmere has gone inexplicably missing. D;
I killed her babies by shouting them off of the cliff above, then shoving arrows up her butt until I could charge in and slice her apart in one blow.
^^She didn't come out for me when I killed the babies from the cliff. Possibly because I did it by making them kill each other because I was nowhere near powerful enough to take on a Chaurus legitimately at that point >.>
I had no idea prior to getting her that Mjoll the Lioness remains unkillable even after completing the Grimsever quest. Definitely works out well for my fireball-slinging mage character, since I was outright killing Faendal in one hit by the time I switched.
One weird thing I've noticed: it seems like the higher my enchanting level gets, the lower the item value drops when using the exact same enchant, item, and soul gem combination. Is there any reason for this, or is this just a bug?
Ancano needs to be a bit more subtle.
I'll tell you some of Ol' Kraken's war stories tomorrow night.
