It's Kyoto Animation
I hope so.
Really?
Can't really contest that.
Just got off of a fairly substantial Skype discussion, with Frances, of how we could bring to life our idea of her cosplaying Giant Naked Rei from End of Evangelion. Unfortunately we came to the conclusion that for novices like us the wings are nigh impossible, but wingless would not be hard at all.
I don't think very many people cosplay this. The results of this could be very interesting indeed...
(We also lamented the equally great impossibility of cosplaying Dio from Last Exile at all. She'd do so much better "in character" as him than as Rei, I think. Damn complicated costume, that.)
You could make the wings some sort of custom inflatable job.
Also, I think that Ami and Mami Futami would be hardcore gamers. And trolls.
I can totally picture them both playing Medic in TF2. Both armed with Ubersaws. They'd go around smacking enemies with their Ubersaws, then ubering each other just to smack up some more enemies with ubersaws, one ubering the other as the other hacks the opponents to pieces, especially in maps with tight spaces.
Huh, that actually sounds strangely effective but wasn't what we had in mind from our minor brainstorming. Whatever...it would be months away anyway...
Has anyone here seen the Madhouse anime adaptation of Supernatural? Since I'm watching the actual show it would be kind of redundant, but I've heard it actually isn't very good, and I don't want to waste my time on it if that's the case.
Been reading Crying Freeman recently. Man, I love the art.
Monsuno is alike everything people hate about mon-shonen topped with a ribbon of Deus Ex Machina destiny...
So after seeing the K-on movie, my headcanon is that they actually were playing the Metal in the beginning (otherwise they would have just been waiting for Azusa to come in) and Yui took lesson in shredding and NWOBHM from Sawako.
So Ebiten is apparently a web anime, airing only on NicoNico or something. There are subs for it though, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth seeing.
I just watched Cat Soup.
That was actually really beautiful. Unbelievably sad, but beautiful.
Yui clearly does not have the energy to play a song like that.
^^ It's generic ecchi harem shit, from what I understand. So probably not.
I have enough great shows to watch this season, so I'll just skip it.
Anybody else watching Bimbougami Ga!? I never thought I'd like a surreal comedy series as much as I like it. The characters are great aside from not being developed yet (It might help that there are like... just four prominent ones so far, though one doesn't talk) and the comedy is actually funny. The one thing I dislike is the overreferencing. You'd need a wiki page for each episodes shout outs...
Apparently I'm not watching Hyouka right. I get that Mayaka used to have feelings for Satoshi but the only romance-ey thing on the show is Houtarou's crush on Chitanda, right?
I thought Mayaka still does like Satoshi, it just doesn't really ever come up in the show, or something. Oh well, yeah, as far as I know the only actual romance stuff seems to be between Houtarou and Chitanda.
Haven't tried Binbougami, though maybe I will now...
Everybody seems to think Chitanda is in love with Houtarou for some reason... and that Mayaka and Satoshi are playing hard to get with each other.
I miss the days when anime was about watching and not shippi-
Who am I kidding when has it ever been like that?
Probably because half the things she says are meant as shipping fuel.
Shipping is fun anyway, so...
Robotics;Notes PV.
It looks great (For a first PV anyways)! I hope I'm going to enjoy it as much as I did Steins;Gate.
Semicolon in the middle of an anime name apparently makes me never want to watch it ever.
I'm still considering trying Chaos;Head at some point, but I don't know if I'll try Steins;Gate again.
Oh, wait, I was considering just playing a VN anyway.
The Chaos;Head anime is distinctly mediocre.
^^^ at least they're not 's or .s or (musical notes).
I never got around to playing that Fate/stay Night VN...
^ That.
But at least I like the shows that get those. Something about 5pb.'s ...things that have a ; in them turns me off from them. Although I don't know what it is since I don't think I actually know anything about any of the anime or visual novels... >.>
Binbougami Ga! is directed by the dude that directed Gintama, if you don't like references left and right you are better off not watching it. I miself love the references.
Also, Joshiraku is fucking awesome.
Oh, right, I was going to watch that show. I forgot somehow.

This thread has quite a bit of surreal and twisted manga, so it's quite interesting
!!!!!WARNING: APART FROM THE NSFW NATURE THAT COMES FROM A 4CHAN LINK, ONE OF THE MANGAS IN THE THREAD CONTAINS LOLICON, IT'S NOTHING GRATUITOUS OR ANYTHING BUT IT'S THERE!!!!!!!
AKB0048, To be next stage...
...IN 2013!
So I've finally gotten around to watching the K-On! movie. I'm just taking a break from it because the part with the band trying to translate their lyrics to English and ending up with Engrish is a little much for me. Otherwise I'm loving it so far.
Doesn't that part only last, like... a minute?
Yeah. I just really dislike Engrish. I also wanted to get something to drink and see if parents were back from shopping anyway, because I also have to mow the lawn today.
Finished the movie, though. That was nice. Definitely a nice way to finish things. Has there been any talk of adapting the next season from the manga?
TBS hasn't said anything about another season of K-ON!. Or, rather, they actually said a while ago that they had no plans. Which basically means... it's probably not likely. Of course, I'd love to see Sumire and Nao in anime form, so I'd love another season, but who knows if that'll happen... Though, if it did happen, it'd probably (hopefully) be less of an "adaptation" and more of a "KyoAni just completely makes up everything," due to near-total lack of any actual resolution in the manga, and the fact that... it kind of sucked compared to the first four volumes (especially the chapters about Yui and the others in college. The high school ones were mostly alright)
I'd be fine with a "KyoAni makes everything up" approach, considering how well they handled the anime and movie. It would be cool to get that sort of resolution, but the anime already has an ending that's plenty sufficient.
