    Egad. I'm actually making decent progress in Let The Right One In.

    EDIT: Gonna go watch The Fellowship of the Ring now. On second thought, Skyrim calls. I'll do that before my parents are both in bed; I can just put in headphones while watching Fellowship.

    So, got a 3DS. Started playing, er, got quite a long ways in Super Mario 3D Land. That battery life is really annoying. It should not have to take 3 hours to charge the system to play for 3 hours, and I don't dare play directly from the AC Adapter just in case that drains its lifetime even further. It's also kind of bizarre looking at other things immediately after playing in 3D, like your brain instinctively thinks you'll see double images.

    As for the game itself, the visuals aren't there just for show, though at first it is kind of disorienting to navigate platforms far far below using pseudo-depth perception. But eh, it shows 3D ain't just a gimmick. Might be interesting to see more games do stuff like this.

    The Boomerang power-up is loads of fun. I love snagging Star Medals with it.

    I'm about to watch it now. On mah laptop. Since it can apparently play DVD's, as I learned when I saw Watership Down.

    Oh, and apparently my step-grandmother thinks I ought to be a model or an actor, judging from my senior picture (which I didn't even think was that good), and sent my mom a thank you letter about it. I'd be giddy over such a compliment coming from most people, but . . . yah. It's kind of funny, though, since my step-grandma pretty much hates the rest of the family, including my mom.

    I would think it probably is because Idolmaster hasn't been released anywhere else to my knowledge.

    That would also explain why it's that expensive.

    So I think something interesting about Skyward Sword nobody has commented on is that there seems to be an entire story to what Zelda's doing. She's obviously moving around and the bad guy doesn't have her yet, and what she's doing is hinted at being proactive.

    @DYRE: Well, both of the original GBA Golden Sun games end with you having to fight a giant mysterious morally ambiguous monster/god/whatever that's trying to stop you from saving the world because it thinks your methods are misguided; that's about the furthest from that I can think of.

    Legendary Daedric Swords are overpowered. Especially when combined with the glitch that lets just just attack forever if you attack whilst sprinting. Ran up to a Dragon Priest and just kept chopping for about 10, 15 seconds until he died.

    Finally made it to High Hrothgar.

    Only level 9 or 10, though, meaning it's probably still too soon to be tackling a fort full of mages.
