Charles got up and continued to try to soothe Snow while trying to find his way back. "I wonder if your glow is keeping away the wild Pokemon?"
Phillip moved towards the wild Pokemon, as did Littorio, and Bob.
The green-and-white Pokemon rushed forwards.
The green-and-red spiders rushed forwards. The first one reached Mercer, and reared back. It slammed into Mercer, dealing 4 damage.
The other spiders could not reach anyone.
"Littorio, go for the one that attacked Mercer! Tackle it!"
Charles continued to walk. "I wonder if we're going in circles... OH GOD! What... What if we've been going in a REALLY WIDE CIRCLE THIS WHOLE ENTIRE TIME!?"
Snow cocked her head at her trainer, her eyes still watery
"Mercer, hit the furthest spider with Hypnosis and back off!" Jackie didn't need him getting injured again.
(Mercer's HP: 23/27)
"Hey, um, Jackie. I kinda like that white thing. Do you think once we've taken the spiders out, you could ask Mercer to hypnotize it so I can catch it?"
"Uh, sure, Greg. I can do that."
Charles continued on his quest to find another living human. Or maybe a dead one.
"Hey Snow, want to stop glowing for a minute? I want to try something"
Snow looked at her trainer as if he was stupid. Charles frowned. "Alright..."
Carrie grinned. "If we're calling 'em, I call one of the little spider guys!"
Greg smiles.
"Thanks."
"Eeeeh. They're all so gross, to me. You guys can have 'em. I want cute Pokemon, like Mercer. But, uh, no prob, Greg."
.
Snow ignored her trainer's commands
Ray noticed Greg's comment and said "Next turn, hit the white one with Tail whip."
Mercer floated towards the Pokemon. There was a soft ringing sound, and the Pokemon fell to the ground, asleep.
Littorio rushed the Pokemon that had attacked Mercer. He hit it full-force, Tackling it. The Pokemon shuddered, nearly passing out. It stood, its' legs shaking.
Phillip ran towards the white one. He couldn't get close enough in time.
"I'm bored. Hey! Any Pokemon want to play a game with me and Snow!?"
Snow started to consider gagging her trainer
Bob stepped forwards, waving his tail at the closest Pokemon.
The night felt unnaturally cold to Charles; colder than it should have, even considering he had been playing in snow during a cold evening.
"Keep going, Phillip! I'm here with you. Lower its defenses!" cried Ray.
The night seemed to be growing oppressive. Where before he could see easily twenty feet in front of him, he could now barely see five feet. There was almost a sense of heaviness, of a weight around him, bearing down on him.
"Alright, Bob, now hit it with a Bone Club!"
"Good job, Littorio! That one looks like it's weakened, so attack another and let Carrie catch that one!"
"Mercer, get the closest one with Spite and go behind that tree!"
Charles frowned. "...Snow, get close and turn up your glow all the way"
Snow was already huddled by her trainers feet, scared
The Nincada, panicking, took off, running away from the spiders around it.
The spider next to Littorio crawled around him. When it stood safely next to a tree beside him, near enough to the Nincada to keep it in line, it spat poisonous spikes at Littorio. (19 damage :V Sorry.)
The southernmost spider took off towards the Trainers, recognizing that they were the real danger here.
The other spider snored.
The Glow helped somewhat. It lit an area two feet around them.
The feeling of weight withdrew somewhat.
It increased again, coming from Charles' right.
Charles looked over that way and began to walk
