"Okay. Fair enough. Though I don't see you all getting up in arms over Brandon's exercise routine." She pouted at Ray for a second before she started laughing again.
She then noticed Dynamo looking rather frayed. "Dynamo, he said he'd be going for a walk. I wouldn't expect him to be back that soon." It then hit her. "Wait. Was it really a good idea to let Charles walk on his own?" She muttered "dammit" under her breath.
Charles, meanwhile, continue to go through the bushes, a bit more quietly this time. "...So Snow, which way did we come from again?"
Snow sighed
Ray blanched at Jackie's comment until he heard her giggle and breathed a sigh of relief. At hearing about Charles. "Wait, he left his pokemon behind to go out into the wilderness alone?"
Greg facepalms.
"Any idea which way he went?"
"He had Snow with him, so he's not completely defenseless. But against more Pokemon like the ones we fought earlier, he might as well be. We should probably go to him. We shouldn't all go to him at once and leave the camp unguarded, though, should we?
"In any case, I'll go, and whoever else wants to come follows me, since I have the closest thing to an idea of where he might have gone. Brandon! Mercer! Come with me, guys." With that, she ran in the direction she had just come from, hoping Charles hadn't wandered too far, and secretly hoping that most of them followed her.
Snow sighed and tried to Powder Snow straight into the sky
Ray quickly complied, following Jackie's lead.
Greg follows, Littorio at his side.
"Wait!" Jackie stopped running before they got too far from the camp. "Ray, can you have one of your two Pokemon stay at the camp? Brandon, Dynamo, do you mind staying there, too? Depending on how far Charles has gone, we might be away long enough for our camp to be set upon by other Pokemon. Does that seem like a good idea? Or does it matter that much?" She backed up in the direction she had running, ready to turn heel and sprint again when a consensus was reached.
Dynamo flexed his arm. "KIDELEK!"
Ray turned to Castle. "This is my first job for you, Castle. It's very important. Stay at the camp and watch for any assailants."
Castle made no noise to show he complied but began hopping towards the campsite all the same.
Brandon nodded and ran to the center of the camp with Dynamo and Castle. Seeing the Pokemon there, Jackie turned and ran again.
Greg once again followed.
Dynamo... Didn't follow, staying at the camp
Charles remained lost
Ray was in pursuit aloso.
They wandered around the forest for a while, becoming increasingly lost,a lthough they tried their best not to stray too far from camp.
Soon, Jackie began to notice small strands of web to their left and right, barely visible.
"Guys, I see webs," Jackie whispered. "Let's slow down a bit; not get too hasty. We've wandered into something."
Charles continued to walk around, this time having Snow use Powder Snow every now and then to leave as markers
Ray paused. "Webs..." Ray mentally looked back. "I suppose that means some type of spider pokemon may be around?"
"HELP! CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME!? I MAY OR MAY NOT BE LOST, I DON'T KNOW!"
There was a faint hissing ahead. As they stepped forwards, spiders scurried forwards, large ones. Very large ones.
They leaped to attack.
Ray immeadiately pulled out his pokedex. "Phillip! Ember! now!"
"Littorio, try tackling one."
"Mercer, use Hypnosis on the closest one!" Jackie was creeped out and scared at all the pokemon who had now shown, but she couldn't let Mercer hear that.
Charles sat down and tried to comfort Snow. "Don't worry Snow, we'll be fine. We made it to Pewter by ourselves, didn't we? I'm sure we can find camp again easily"
He then looked around
"...Or become hermits in the middle of nowhere. That sounds like fun, right?"
Gastly floated forwards. The Pokemon were a bit far away though.
