Apart from the different Pokemon, there are different post-game areas and Dragon Gym Leader (Dradien in Black,Iris in White)

I don't play Pokemon, but if you're not planning to get it ASAP, you might want to wait till the third game comes out. If it comes out.

Fair point. It'll probably be awhile. How long does it usually take the third to come out?

My guess is Winter 2012 in Japan and Spring 2013 in the US at the earliest.

Oh, my comment had no basis in mechanics or anything; I just prefer lightning and black over fire and white. And I prefer its design as well.

I don't have B/W yet. Are there any things I should know to avoid having me miss anything forever?

Think of "if you open a certain set of chests you lose the ability to get the ultimate weapon forever on FFXII" things. Any one time pokemon or time-based (similar to Drifloon) that I should be aware of?

There's a Musharna that shows up in the post-game on Friday nights that has the Dream World ability Telepathy but that's it. It's the only time based Pokemon encounter. 

Also, Reshiram is TOTALLY not superior to Zekrom. They're both even. Really. I'm serious. It's not like Gen 3 when they brought out Groudon and Kyogre.

Well, you already missed the Wi-Fi events required to get Victini and Zorua/Zoroark, but the only thing like Drifloon is the DW Musharna that appears every Friday after you beat the E4.

He means that Groudon was in a clear disadvantage against Kyogre


Heh, and my friends made fun of me for buying Sapphire.

Groudon was ground, slow and had not that much SP DEF.

Kyogre was water, faster and had a lot of SP ATK.

That and while Groudon got charge-free Solarbeams (a special attack for a physical attacker). Kyogre got 100% Accuracy Thunders.

Groudon was immune to thunder thankfully, but Kyogre also had access to Ice attacks.

I just mean generally in battles, not just against each other. 

Kyogre was, and still is, waaaaay better than Groudon.

Yeah, it basically got access to a superpowered boltbeam. Though Groudon got Quakedge in 4th gen, it was too little too late.

Kyogre also gets Choice Scarf Water Spout. Broken as FUCK.

It's really ironic that Kyogre can one shot the God it's supposed to answer to.
