So, watched some Eureka Seven AO yesterday.
It's... pretty weird so far, I did skip right to the newest one though. It was a pretty exposition heavy episode if you ask me, got some action near the end.
My other thoughts... Um... certain parts of the opening theme remind me of Mega Man 9's credits theme.

Eyes are usually less disturbing on faces, yes. Just saying that seeing someone in that shirt might be a red flag.

Kyubey's supposed to be creepy, though. And I've almost bought a Kyubey shirt, twice.
Why do people correctly find Kyubey creepy but incorrectly find Rei Ayanami sexy?
Probably because Rei's an animu girl and Kyubey's not even human. And they're different types of creepy anyway; if Rei acted like Kyubey . . . well, that would be really weird, but it would be significantly more disconcerting.
Yeah, I'd take comfort in the fact that Kyubey at least isn't seen as fap material (for the most part).
Kyuubei doesn't have boobies, not even a vaguely humanoid physique.
That doesn't stop some twisted people from also getting off on Kyubey.

There are like 7 volumes of it in less than three years. I don't know anything about this manga, but unless there are like 3 chapters in each book, it doesn't seem like there's much room for there to have been any major schedule issues...
Yeah, that was an exaggeration :P It's just a monthly series and is similar in content to Berserk, and monthly series have a track record.

I wouldn't call Steins;Gate bad. Just really slow and talky. And admittedly characters who aren't Karisu or Okabe register as meh or slightly annoying for me, but the labcoat brigade sells it for me.

And I guess that's something s;g and S&W have is that they're both very talking head oriented and depend not just on how much you like the concept but the cast.

Okabe's cool. It's just that the rest seem way too bland for me. Christina has cool moments, though. And part of my issue is that those moments come from her interactions with Okabe
then again I'm only four episodes in so whatever
Daru and the shop girl and weird texting lady are okay, but Mayuri and Ruka/ko don't really do much of anything(even relative for a talking heads show). And Feyris sets off a PURGE THE UNCLEAN reaction with me.
Mayuri is pretty integral to the plot halfway through, and Rukako is a passive due to identity issues so I think it makes perfect sense for her to be.

And really when the best you can say about a cast is that they're okay then there's something kind of iffy for me. Of course, the show's about Okabe/Hyouga being an asshat, and that's pretty much the only real reason I intend to finish it. Although I think that even then the show's comedy can get pretty repetitive over time.

I found the cast significnyantly more than okanyan. Granted, they play animnyu archetypes to the letter, but it's done so well I don't care...
