  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I just got out of my audition for Emerson College. I actually feel really good about it.

The woman said she'd never seen a high school student do a bit from The Visit, and that she probably never would again.

^^ DO IT! It's the only Miyazaki film I've seen in theaters thus far, but it was pretty beautiful on the big screen.

    ^ Noice.

  • It's not really a Miyazaki film, since he only worked on the screenplay.  The director was Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who hasn't directed before.

  • You can change. You can.

I would argue that if the involvement shows (Like with Nightmare before Christmas for Tim Burton) there is nothing wrong with calling it a Miyazaki film, but blah blah blah credit where credit is due so whatever

anyway, big headache, last night was a boring blur of staring at the city's lights and writing random shit for the sake of random shit and I couldn't sleep because everything. Was. Damn. Noisy. >:[

  • ^^ Screenplay is what I usually refer to anyways.

^ And that sucks, I hate when I can't sleep.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
So, I'll be going home today, meaning I'll have an actual reliable Internet connection.
  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

    Isn't Ghost a nice guy?

  • Is he still constantly getting trolled?

Good news, everyone. The best news.

Kay as far as I know is awake and seems to have no brain damage. And I don't think she's gonna slip back into her coma. She talked for quite a while.

She's also been told about [TV Tropes'] thread and says, "Sup. And thanks."

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

    Toga party?

    Toga party.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Great to hear about Kay. I don't know her, but I'm glad she seems to be okay.
  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Ha? Why toga party? Don't you dislike the classical period?

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

Yes, but I do like Bill and Ted. Or was it Wayne's World? Either one. They're both good. And one of them had the toga party line.

In any case, it could easily be a tabbard party instead.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Classical Period had the best BRO EVER!

  • CiceBRO?

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

    Brocrates?

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

I thought the toga thing came from Animal House?

  • It was in there too, yeah.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Animal House. That's the movie with the older Belushi as a frat boy! I think

And I was Thinking of Alexander the Great!

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

    > classical period

    > bro

    Ludwig van Brothoven.

  • You can change. You can.

    It's Animal House, yeah.

    bunch of heathens

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

^^ But Brothoven was Romantic period.

    You're after Brozart.

  • I wish I knew Java. :/
  • You can change. You can.

So, I just had a boring argument with my sister about how I should get a job, with me opposing the idae of getting a job when I'm supposedly moving out of the country by the beginning of the month and then she started saying that I should work and study at the same time and bleh bleh bleh.

the worst part is how much she insists on these things in the most smug way she can muster and applies circular logic to everything, yet i can't explain what's wrong with the arguments she goes for when I talk to her.

I really wanna go by now.

Must be a little sister thing. Mine is the exact same way.
  • No rainbow star
My sister kept using circular logic to insist that there is a Pokemon named Penelope (As in the species is named Penelope)

She's also poor with descriptions (her friend has a "Penelope" on their game. My sister tried to describe it to me. I couldn't find it. So either my sister sucks at descriptions, her friend got one baaaaad knockoff cartridge, or her friend knows how to edit the 5th generation games)

Also bleh headache. I drank a bunch of water. I took Tylenol. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?
  • Care to share the description with us?

*coming off Something Awful thread on Climate Change, so excuse me if I seem overly pissed off*

I hate the way people talk about post-apocalyptic scenarios. It's always "Me, me, me!" Couldn't be arsed to think about how to live on an unlivable planet, but would rather take more lives with them. Won't give a fuck about helping the remaining community survive, just about how to accelerate its demise. Dead set in one's comfortable ways, not realizing how many lives one sits on. And I can't really see myself as much different, since all I care about is my immediate environment.

What a message we'll have to send to the kids of the next generation or two, but I'd prefer to spare the poor. They don't need to suffer any more.

  • You can change. You can.

Do you actually have an account there or do you just lurk

  • No rainbow star
I think she said it was like a Roserade (pointing to the mini icon) but without the flowers?

    I can't recall the exact description =/
