I really want to play Emperor now. Especially Imperial Empire. Sounds like a lot of fun. But it might be tough organizing a game that's that huge on Cockatrice.

The real problem I see is that it depends on people's sitting order.

In what way? The way I see it, you'd have to have certain decks in certain spots (as in, put combo/slow decks as Emperors and have the aggro decks as Knights, to deal early damage and hold enemies off). Or is that what you mean; too predictable?

What he means is that you'd have to have some way to tell who's in what role. Cockatrice is...not good at that, since players' relative positions are different depending on whose monitor you're looking at.

Add four types of cards, an Emperor card (Blue let's say), an Emperor (Red), Knight (Blue), and Knight (Red), and fudge it a bit so each player gets those guaranteed immediately?

Well, you can always do what we do with Horde (Set up two rooms, one with the Planar decks and one with the regular decks)

it's a bitch, of course, but it works.

There's also the idea of putting all the planar cards in the sideboard, then loading them into the field face down and throwing a dice to see which one gets revealed, but i think that might be too much effort.

@Firebert They apparently changed the names of all the non-Borrower characters to less... Japanese names(Sho is apparently Shawn now). It seems out of character for Disney to do that, as they never actually made changes like that in the past, and the British version kept them intact.
