Hey, at least you don't like Magic for the fluff
Wait, what happened INUH?
^^Eh, trust me, the TES lore is probably weirder.
^Cyrodiil stopped being a jungle because Tiber Septim used the modding tools. I am not joking.
Wait, was this recently? If he's the sort of person who would act abusive towards her while she just came out of a comatose state, why do we think/care if he's capable of recovering, again? I dunno; I wouldn't go as far as to call him soulless (a psychopath, maaaaaybe, though I'm not the one who made the definition, so I can't say based on what I know), or a monster, but I think there are some personalities that are just irreparable and not worth the effort, and some actions that are unfailingly indicative of that (granted, they're fairly extreme, even by the established judicial system, but it's possible).
Yeah, I'd attribute it more to people being pissed off. I wouldn't go that far because I don't know Kay, but if I were more invested, I might be pretty upset.
Man, you have no idea. Magic has demon chefs.
^^^ , ^ One article I read essentially explains achieving CHIM as being a player - so you can, say, stop time and drink a million potions at once (opening the menu and using potions), or being able to change how physics themselves work (using the console)
They backed this up with in game lore. So yes, it may not be a joke and actually part of lore that Tiber Septim used modding tools (he may have used save states as well, apparently)
^^Did you read the second half of my post? TES has NPCs who realize they're in a videogame and use the modding tools.
^I think I just read that article >.>
She hasn't hit her past recovery, but again, punishment for the sake of punishment always reeks of needless vengeance and spite rather than a desire to help, which is nice when you're thinking from an individual perspective, but when you're thinking from a social standpoint, I have to disagree.
^^ Kind of makes it hilarious in a way. The simplifications put in by it being a game may actually not be simplifications at all
I wanted to make a RPG where was totally possible to kill no one and finish all of the game
ok, that is pretty weird.
This isn't needless. Kay's brother is an aggressor, socially and physically, that draws amusement and validation from the pain of others. Punishment would not be for punishment's sake, but a deterrent against future abuse. Some people do things because they must; others do things because they like it. Kay's brother is a case of the latter, and he is unlikely to understand any appeal that doesn't end with him at a disadvantage.
Ah. Well, it's good that he hasn't done it recently, and hopefully this'll alter his perspective enough so that it doesn't happen again (although given that he used her accident to get attention and stir up drama, I doubt it).
For what it's worth, if I ever wish that someone were dead (and I might as well be honest: I support capital punishment, in theory, though not the theory by which it's used, for that matter), it's not out of spite/vengeance or a belief that help shouldn't at least be considered for anyone; it's because I think that the person is beyond help. Although Kay's brother sounds like the sort who should be locked up for a while and rehabilitated, if possible.
Personally, I don't ever wish death on anyone. If they were trying to kill someone, and someone killed them to stop them, I wouldn't consider it the worst possible outcome, but I wouldn't consider it the best either.
Mind you, I am in no way advocating death for Kay's brother. But I am advocating police intervention and possibly jail time.
I'm not against punishment, but I'm against claiming for punishment for the sake of hurting him further or avenging Kay or whatever, and I'm sure Kay wouldn't be a big fan of the idea either.
However, the idea of punishing him because it's the law, and because it's the right thing, I can get behind, and as such, I can only advocate for what the law says, which is either jail and/or asylum, depending on the circumnstances.
I certainly agree that vengeance gets no-one anywhere.
I don't think anyone was advocating for his death (unless that's what ninjaclown meant).
That, I agree with, definitely.
Yeah, I never said kill him. I just said don't let him to continue to do this. He has no intention of stopping, especially because he knows he can get away with it.
Fair enough. Like I said, the man deserves punishment for what he did. But that's all he is, a man. not a demon, not a soulless husk of a human or whatever. He's a human being, and, whether you like it or not, that carries some connotations that we either abide to, or we ignore. And I'm no fan of ignoring them.
he might be a revenant
So, I just finished Dark Void and I have to say it was pretty good. I got it in the sales for £5 and I wouldn't say it's worth too much more than that (£15 would be the absolute max I'd pay). It's a fairly fun if somewhat unfinished game, but you could do a hell of a lot worse.
Having said that. I don't know what to play next; Bladestorm, Genji: Days of the Blade, Soul Calibur IV, Too Human or Legendary (can you tell I buy a lot of cheap games?).
Sentai Filmworks licensed K-ON!! and will be releasing it on BD and DVD later this year.
Well, I guess I know what to ask for for Christmas...
Maybe I should look at a Defence Force Trade Scholarship...
I just finished Pirate Sentai Gokaiger.
Damn, I feel like I'm saying goodbye to a close friend...
Go-Busters has a hell of a tough act to follow.
I am going to watch DekaRanger now.
When it finishes downloading, at least.
Just in case people ever wonder why I like to RP Good characters.
Moral complexity, when you're the quintessential Good character, committed to doing The Right Thing, no matter the cost?
Depends on the world you live in, really.
Paladins are the bestest.
How worth it is it?
