    It's kind of insane how unspoiled I've managed to be on this series. 


    Going into it, I guess I didn't expect it to get all sci-fi, if that makes any sense.


    Which is weird considering the plot revolves around a machine that lets you relive the lives of your ancestors, but yeah.  I mean, I figured it would just be all about the Assassin's vs. Templars, but I totally didn't expect the crazy technology from the middle ages.


    Definitely interested in what comes next though.   I've played Assassin's Creed 2 a bit, but not much.  And it was a while ago, so I've pretty much forgotten what I did play.

    (That's not a spoiler for later; you can read it on one of the computers in AC1; I think something about Jesus using a Piece of Eden is mentioned)

    I know, I mostly just meant the fact that the crazy technology existed at all in the middle ages.


    Al Mualim talks about how the piece of eden created the illusions of the red sea parting and water becoming wine and stuff, so I figured that it had been around for a while.

    So as much as Ezio's story is engaging me, Altaïr's journal and The Truth are doing a great job of getting me more interested in the metaplot.
