    Beat Drayden. I took down his Haxorus with a combination of Leech Seed & Will-O-Wisp. Thank goodness Weezing's Haze negates Dragon Dance or else I would've been in trouble.

    One good thing about the blackout is it gave me an impetus to actually work on my Black 2 game again.


    Most of my Pokeymanz evolved. Only Mufasa (former Trapinch, now a Vibrava) needs to evolve again.

    Beat Roxie by beating her over the head with an Elekid. The game seems to be actively trying to sabotage me, considering my team is a Snivy, Elekid, Lillipup, Patrat, and Purrloin. (On that note, trying to kill things with a Purrloin is like pulling teeth.)

    B2W2 takes a bit of adjustment since it's the first game in the series that seems to expect strategy beyond "set up type advantage, then spam your strongest attack."

    I'm not really seeing it so far. I just play through it like a usual Pokemon game and I'm doing pretty good so far.

    Well, the main thing I noticed is that if you want a Grass-type, you are stuck with Sunkern, the single Pokèmon with the lowest stats, until several gyms in. HP recovery moves are pretty essential to keep it going for more than two turns.

    Whimsicott became my favorite grass type ever, and one of my new Top 5. Same with Volcarona for fire.


    That's why I think Gen 5 speaks to me so well. It spawned at least TWO of my favorite Pokemon ever.

    My favorite Pokèmon is Shedinja, but after B2W2, Sunkern is my #2.

    Same kind of goes for Water. It sticks you with Azurill for much of the early game if you want one.


    Also I like Grass-types >:-|

    My overall point is, for a really huge part of the early game, the only Pokèmon you might have that are decent for pure attack-attack-attack are Patrat and your starter. And possibly Riolu, but they're pretty rare.
