yea i make potions if ya know what i mean

    Team PETA.

PETA = Pokemon Equal to Trainers Association.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Finished my Nuzlocke run of Black.

Darmanitan died to the fighting-type Elite Four member. On the other hand, Archeops swept the entire Elite Four for me- bar none.

Reshiram swept four of N's Pokemon after I caught him with a Master Ball, while Archeops got one and Serperior got one.

And my Archeops defeated... Ghetsis' first Pokemon, I forget which one it was, then I sent out Haxorus against Bisharp, and set up six Dragon Dances, which allowed me to sweep his entire team with a single Dragon Claw each without taking any more damage.

    Final team results:

    Reshiram: Level 51
    Serperior: Level 54
Archeops: Level 62 (went up like two levels apiece from the Elite Four, due to holding a Lucky Egg)
    Haxorus:   Level 51

    So, that was fun.

^^^ Fun fact! PETA has expressed in the past that they APPROVE of Pokemon!

^ ...Wow I am overlevelling aren't I? I plan to have my whole team at level 55 before even FACING the Elite Four, with my Stoutland at level 62

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

Fun fact! PETA has expressed in the past that they APPROVE of Pokemon!

I was about to wonder how the hell that worked, but then I realized that I was expecting rational, consistent behavior from PETA.

There's a bit of a jump. The Elite Four have Pokemon averaging around 50, ranging from 48-52. My Pokemon were a bit on the high end, but appropriately leveled.

Then N has Pokemon at Level 50, with Zekrom at Level 52. Again, my Pokemon were a bit on the high side, but appropriately leveled.

Then Ghetsis has Pokemon at Level 52, with a Hydreigon at Level 54 (!!!). I was a bit underleveled there, but Haxorus carried me through with Dragon Dance.

Then you get out and try to continue on, and bam everything's level 60.

So, you're probably quite overleved for the final battles, and you're going to roll right over them, but you're roughly appropriately leveled for the end-game.

Also, just a tip: Have a Dark-type Pokemon and a Fighting-type Pokemon, preferably with a Psychic-type too. The Elite Four have the whole quadrangle there: Fighting, Psychic, Dark and Ghost. Archeops carried me through because she has Fly, Acrobatics, Crunch, and AncientPower, with Crunch PP'd up so that she has 22 uses of it, but if your Archeops is not as boss as mine, you're going to want the advantages, trust me.

^ My main team for the E4 (I have 10 to 12 Pokemon ready to go at any time - part of why training is guh. At least I won't have to train all of them at once for the E4) is Stoutland (the high levelled one used for back up - I nearly lost the Nuzlocke at the second gym, but I had him in reserve in the PC), Cofagrigus, Cobalion, Darmitan, Samurott (Came to a consensus with some other Nuzlockers that the Oshawott I bred should be allowed despite being the child of a traded Pokemon), and Scraggy/Scrafty, although I may swap one of them out for a Deino if I catch one (and I would evolve that Deino to a Hydreigon first. Fuck yeah ripping everything to shreds with a level 64 Murder Dragon)

For N and Ghetsis, I'm putting Stoutland in my PC so I can use Zekrom. If my team dies there, I still have Stoutland then to avenge them all

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

It's usually agreed among Nuzlockers that whiting out means game over.

Also, you're going to be torn to shreds by Ghetsis' Hydreigon. Hydreigon pretty much always kills at least two of your Pokemon before you can take him down.

I managed to get a Haxorus set up on his Bisharp, using six Dragon Dances- so I raised his Speed and Attack six times, so Dragon Claw tore Hydreigon to shreds, but if you don't have an actual strategy for Hydreigon, good luck.

Cobalion may be able to do something, but probably not.

^ Eh, for starters it was near enough to the beginning that I did not feel like starting all over again if i still had a Pokemon left

And I do have a strategy for Muderface. I'll probably swap out before facing him to some slightly different Pokemon

Namely my Carracosta and Gigalith walling the asshole, and my Cofagrigus walling him by using Power Split

My main ten: Stoutland, Gigalith, Furret (Dreamworld), Samurott w/ X Scissor, Scraggy, Cofagrigus, Darmanitan, Maractus, Carracost, and Cobalion

    Other Pokemon in Reserve:

Ducklett, Stunfisk, Liepard, Virizion, Bouffalant, Garbador, Gurdurr, Klink, Minccino, Shelmet, Tranquill, and Leavanny

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Funny thing is, it's like they were begging Nuzlockers to take an Axew in, but as soon as I got to Victory Road, I caught a Deino.

The only reason I didn't evolve him to a Hydreigon and curbstomp everything is because that would be boring.

I'm doing that now so I can have a Hydreigon to face Cynthia's Garchomp, though. Hydreigon will be able to take both Spiritomb and Garchomp.

    Also, I need a good Water-type :(

There's not really any point to continuing a Nuzlocke after you've beat the Elite Four, so I'm opting on to a modified set of rules (I can catch any Pokemon in a route now, but still only one per Route, although I've reset it so that I can start catching from Route 1 again, due to not being hurried by a plot, and my Pokemon can only die to important battles, i.e. battles with Rivals, Seven Sages, Cynthia, etc.)

So, does anyone know if there's a particularly decent Water-type in the game, or if I should just swap to Seismitoad?

Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

^Jellicent is pretty much the best Water type I've encountered. Very bulky, makes good use of Surf and Ice Beam, and gets Recover too.

It can also switch in on Fighting attacks that would wreck your Hydreigon.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Now, if only Bulbapaedia wasn't down, I could find out where to catch it. :|

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    Um...Bulbapedia isn't down >.>

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    Wait, nevermind, it is.

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

    Serebii says:

    B/W: Route 4, 17, 18, Driftveil City, P2 Laboratory(Surf)

B/W2: Route 4, 13, 17, 18, 21, Virbank City, Virbank Complex, Undella Town, Undella Bar, Seaside Cave, Seigaha City, P2 Lab

    ^^^^^ I had a Frillish

    It died

    They both did

    Talk about bad luck... x.x

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

But I need Jellicent to be able to Surf. :(

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

You have a Seismitoad right? Just teach it surf and catch one really quickly.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

No, I don't. It died in Victory Road.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    Black 2 get ^_^

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    And...my 3DS battery is dead :/

But you never had any to begin with.

I'm pretty sure Nuzlockes allow you to catch something that can use a HM if you don't already have one, on "not making the game literally impossible" grounds. Or you could just float on your Seismitoad's corpse.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

You know, I think after "are you a boy or a girl?" and "what's your name," the Pokemon games should start asking "have you played a Pokemon game before?"

That way, it won't take ages to explain a bunch of stuff I learned a decade ago.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    SHINY PURRLOIN

    SHINY PURRLOIN

  • But you never had any to begin with.

Look on the bright side! You'll never forget how to play. Ever.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

That was the third Pokèmon I encountered in this run. I'm feeling good about Black 2.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

Okay, why is the Team Plasma guy dressed as a pirate?

  • a little muffled
Because he knows deep down that RSE had the best evil teams.
  • I'm a damn twisted person
Man Lucario evolved really fast. Loving how there is a rocking type assortment early on.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

I like that there's an achievement system now.

I got one for accidentally using Splash >.>
