^ Would Reuniclus with Magic Guard do the trick there? Immune to Hail...
Reuniclus seems like a reasonable choice for that purpose, yeah. I dunno. All I do know is every time I've fought a hail team I have swept the entire thing with Heatran,
New team idea. I won't test it today, but if I have time, I'd like to at some point.
-Mew (Transform Nuisance/Hazards)
-Espeon (Screens Nuisance)
-Metagross (Agility Harrier/Sweeper)
-Hariyama (RestTalk Wall/Phazer)
-Breloom (Breloom)
-Terrakion (Revenge Killer)
Might try to get Zoroark in there, for extra screwiness.
Picked up Pokemon White a few minutes ago, and I think I'll go in relatively blind - that is, only knowing what types the gym leaders/elite four specialize in, and the team that I want to bring to the elite four, which is:
-Samurott
-Darmanitan
-Ferrothorn
-Galvantula
-Krookodile
-Mienshao
^I took half that team to the E4 in my White run, you shouldn't have any problems (cept for maybe Marshall).
Fair word: My Krookodile cannot take a hit. In fact, most of my team aren't known for their physical durability. Knew I should've used a Cofagrigus, but no, I picked Jellicent because I needed a Surfer.
Now I'm wondering how that team, in general, will fare against the gym leaders first.
I considered Jellicent, but I felt that that would be redundant with Samurott. Cofagrigus is a good idea, though, but I don't know what to replace for it. I also considered Chandelure, but that would probably be more fragile. Lastly, I'm torn on whether to use Mienshao or Conkeldurr; I like Mienshao better, but I might want a more durable pokemon.
If my router was compatible with my DS, I'd so trade with you guys. Granted, I don't put much importance into IVs and Natures for the most part, mostly doing it for version-exclusives and trade evolutions.
I'm not sure if I'm going to actually try to EV train pokemon once I finish my first run through, especially since I could probably just use something to generate perfectly-statted pokemon if I really wanted to battle competitively.
Or use Pokemon Online, where ragequits != lost wins.
Man, that is so stupid. Game Freak, why?
Jellicent is pretty good, especially when paired with Ferrothorn. I actually replaced my Samurott with it and never looked back.
^ Hmm. I guess I could do that. I mean, Samurott is much cooler as Oshawott anyway.
Purrloin, y u so scrawny
Everest: As a warning, you don't face the champion the first time through. So look up Ghetsis' team instead of the champion's type (You get to heal before him and N, but he's a nasty guy to fight)
Yeah, I know. I didn't want to plan specifically for the Champion for that reason.
This is a pretty fun game so far. I'm already having difficulties deciding who I want to remain on my team (so far, it's Dewott, Pansear, Audino, Blitzle, Roggenrola, and Drilbur).
Also, two Roggenrolas fighting is the most hilarious thing ever.
Man, now I remember why I like Whimsicott so much. Even its pre-evo, Cottonee, is a monster; it took down three trainer Woobats in a row, despite type disadvantage.
Anyone want to help me evolve my Gurdurr to a Conkeldurr? It doesn't matter to me what you trade over, since I wanted to keep Conkeldurr anyway and would trade it back.
Any other trade evolutions you need?
I don't think so, no. Nothing that I could get raised up to that point in a timely manner that I would use, at least.
Oh, and I apologize in advance for the terrible name. I wanted nicknames for each of my pokemon, and the 4chan meme, "do you even lift", was the first thing that came to mind for it.
PM me your friend code and stuff.
Thanks for the trades, Alk!
EDIT: maaaaaaaaaaaaan, Watchog is the worst
So, I think I just out-nerded myself: I signed up on Pokemon TCG Online. Seeing lots of booths selling Pokemon cards at PortCon sort of resparked my interest.
Serpent's Tongue is nerdier.
HEY, EELEKTROSS!
DRILBUR'S MOLD BREAKER ABILITY IS NOW WIDELY AVAILABLE DUE TO BLACK 2/WHITE 2!
And there's talk of retesting Excadrill for OU too.
So does anyone know when the list of obtainables/version exclusives for B2W2 will be confirmed?
INUH,
Serebii has a list, but I am not sure if it is really confirmed or anything.
