    It's not the derailing that's an issue, it's that the derailing so often consists of flirty roleplaying. Compare how often threads derail to Lord of the Rings discussion to how often threads become arbitrarily raunchy and fake.

    If people are trying to discuss something I don't care what the derail is about. They're all equally detrimental to the thing at hand.

    It feels like flirting derails are something of an "easy out" to be honest when really I think they should all be held responsible.

    But I mean if people aren't really being serious in the first place I don't care.

    Not the point and you know it. The point is that this always happens. Thread gets derailed, we bitch about the derail. As if other kinds of derails weren't particularly annoying and as if somehow there were better derails. If we're gonna start to complain about how we don't like X kind of derails, then why don't we also complain about Y kind of derails?

    Look, guys, I get it, you like to flirt. However, it's not an inclusive concept, and you have shown a definite tendency lately to derail multiple threads lately to flirt between you three. Furthermore, the flirting is kind of creepy to those of us who aren't involved in it. I don't really care if you flirt. However, you guys need to stop doing it over the course of multiple threads, or else you will be facing further consequences for it.
