So, we need to ask what happened, somehow. Get them relaxed. But I might not be the best for that.
Greg thinks to Jackie: I'll ask Ray to do it.
And to Ray: Could you ask what happened somehow?
The Abra swallowed, nervous, but didn't pull away.
Ray slowly placed a hand on the Abra and gently scratches its ears.
The pokemon? Erm... I'll try.
"Why are you so jittery? Did something... bad happen?"
The Abra nodded slowly.
They are not nice. The Pokemon around here. Most Pokemon aren't so mean to little kids, but these ones...
Greg is visibly surprised.
"Um...could you guys hear that too, or...?"
Ray looked at the Abra, "What pokemon? Who's been hurting you? We can help..."
I hear it.
It's nice to meet you, by the way. I'm Jackie. What's your name?
Abra. My name is Abra.
... They are hurting us. The ones who live here.
Is there some way we can help?
I do not think so. They are... strong.
How strong?
"You could... always come with us..." Ray offered.
Strong enough to kill... the others.
Nuzleaf was protecting us, but he was mean. But still, he stopped them from eating us, so we did not mind too much.
Where are you going?
Yeah. It's probably safer with us than out here by yourselves. We have a plan, and as you know, we have other pokemon to help.
The city, where all the humans are.
Is that a problem?
Charles was playing with Snow and paying no attention to what was going on
The humans can be almost as bad as the Pokemon here.
"We're a strong bunch; just look at Brandon." Jackie gestured to Brandon. "Point being, we can keep you safe, from Pokemon and humans. I promise.
Brandon blinked.
The Abra was hesitant, as he looked between Ray and Jackie.
Don't worry about it. We wouldn't let anything happen to you.
Charles managed to fall in the water. He completely flipped out and panicked, running out of it and holding Snow tight
But...
His face, inasmuch as it could be, was filled with indecision.
We just went through Mt. Moon in the middle of some sort of large-scale battle, if that makes you feel any better.
The thing that pushed him over the edge was a satisfied sigh behind him, as the Bellsprout finished eating.
He nodded once.
I second what Ray said, since he said it better than I could have.
