    Finally actually watched the episode.  It's not one of my favorites, and probably one of the lower tier episodes, but it was better than, say, Over A Barrel.

    Also, lol, geriatric ponies and the return of the Pinkie Sense.

    I found the episode pretty amusing. It was tremendously weird that they didn't know anything about how they pretty much saved the world twice. There was a huge ceremony in the same area in the second episode of the season for crying out loud.

    Is it just me or is Applejack playing the role of ignorant hick a lot more often? Not that I have a problem with it. Her garden party line was great.

    The pimple-faced unicorn with the luggage reminded me of the teenager character from The Simpsons. I wonder if they meant that.

    Lol@ Fancy Pants. The line about Rarity being a pony worth bumping into was priceless.

    I honestly didn't like the song very much, but that was probably because it was the first time hearing it and the subject matter was something that seemed a little cringe-worthy in song. I felt the same way about Art of the Dress at first, I think.

    As much as I enjoy seeing Rarity being a tremendous ham, the fact that nobody so much as called her out on an elaborate web of lies -- especially given a cast that's generally pretty good about catching each other's BS, and includes at least one character whose schtick is specifically that -- is rather distressing.

    Although it is nice to see at least one of the Canterlot elite doesn't have a stick jammed entirely up his ass.  And the music when Rarity gives Opal a surprise bath sounds suspiciously like Ravel's Bolero.  And Derpy in the Brady-Bunch-esque grid during Rarity's song.

    Every time a Canterlot pony is onscreen, I want to start making glue.

    Yeah, I agree with Gelzo.  Unlike, say, Rainbow Dash, Rarity is smart enough to learn the lesson on her own without it being forcefed to her by her friends.  In the end, the lies were making her crazy, and she realized that.  That's the important part.

    Overall, I loved it.  Definitely a huge improvement over Mare Do Well.  It was no Party of One or Luna Eclipsed, but it's still one of the higher tier episodes. IMO.
