Hey Malk, want to watch that Nazi Movie? /sarcasm
^ I'm not willing to venture into the main series, but if the parody fic Houseplants of Gor is true to the writing style of the Gor series, that's one example right there.
Well, yes that picture is completely fine, and complaining about it because it's sexist would be silly. Better example plz.
BUT I take it that isn't what this is about.
Well ok, I know that isn't what this is about.
Naomi Misora's part in the Live Action version of Death Note is considerably more awesome than her anime part. And more significant too. Probably the most awesome bit of the whole thing, in fact.
Honestly, I liked the Live Action Death Note more than the anime. I only watch the anime for the second season intro music. Best anime music EVER. Oh how I now love thee, Maximum The Hormone.
Also, I spent more time wondering why those cats were stuck in space heater or whatever.
BUT... that said, the way the images are structured to me seems to be with the intent to convey a vague sense of anonymity. That what is taking place is more key than who is doing it.... BUT that is just my take on the images. And sure, one form of objectivisation is much like another.
It happens.
It happens all over the place... constantly.
I can't really see the issue with it, personally... But that might be because I objectivise everyone by default anyway.
And at least women have more interesting features than men do.
Is why I'm determined to have those parts taken off... I hate to be judged by them. Horrible, horrible things.
Tell me one reason why seeing a character's ass in A series like Death Note could possibly be added and be essential to the story and plot...
But whatever. I got no intention of things somehow becoming a squabble about sexuality or whatever. I really don't give a toss who is attracted to what, nor how they might wish to justify it (if they even do). Ultimately... meat is just meat, and boohooing over it becoming oversexualised or whatever is obviously forgetting that the entire history of life is just one long, inane string of birthing, fucking and dying.
I mean heck, I find sex-related stuff mostly rather distasteful.... but then I find meat (i.e. people) in general rather distasteful. Just a bunch of shells that may or may not contain identities... thoughts...
So, you, most of all should understand the crux of adding characters simply for the sake of appealing to a base desire!
It doesn't make for a good series.
Like I sorta said: most people are all about the sex.
I don't want anything to do with it myself, but when you see it everywhere, all the time, it just sorta becomes part of the background. Don't really notice it unless my attention is drawn to it...
And this isn't drawing my attention any more than usual.
If anything, trying to make characters deliberately unsexy would be far more conspicuous.
And these stories, they're not sexist either
