  • You can change. You can.
Yeah, I'm willing to use Skype, but if we'regonna vote, I'd go with IRC
  • I'd prefer IRC too for the aforementioned reasons.  Also because I don't have a non-shitty microphone.
  • You can change. You can.
If we're gonna use IRC, then that begs the question of who's gonna moderate and found the whole thing.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
If this is going to cost money, then I call not it.
  • You can change. You can.
    IRC is free, Neo_Crimson

The only thing is that someone has to register the channel so it doesn't die in 30 days. That person also has to manage the whole thing. In other words, an admin.
  • a little muffled
I'd volunteer, but I doubt I'll actually be present every week, so I'm probably not the best choice.
  • $80+ per session
We could just set up a chatroom with Skype.

It takes like, a minutea nd it's easy tom moderate.
  • You can change. You can.
Yeah, but it implies making the account and that's just blugh.

    Anyway, I sugest a vote.

I'm sticking with Skype. I already gave AHR my Skype ID.
  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human
Voice is more immediate--less need for rewinding--but then it's also more chaotic.  Also, requires people to be in places where they can actually use voice.
  • Can I join, can I join?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
You have to get a skype though.

    and tell me its ID...
  • That's being voted upon! >:[
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    Ok Ok, I didn't realize talking to me was such a terrible prospect. ;_;
  • You can change. You can.
It involves getting Skype (Or in my case, using that thing again)

and i say fuck no to that if possible.
  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human
What's wrong with Skype for you?
  • You can change. You can.
I don't like the service and interface very much, really. --shrug--

I can use it if everyone uses it, though. But I still would prefer IRC.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    Also, I can't believe I haven't suggested Spice & Wolf yet.
  • You can change. You can.
And here I thought you had become a better person.
  • Has friends besides tanks now
Hey, Malk, do you read the Spice and Wolf manga as well, by chance? Because I just finished volume 4 a little while ago and was wondering if you might be able to clear something up.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Only the first three, but presumably they're similar enough to the novels, so you can ask and I'll see if I can answer.

^^You're just jealous of the economics.

^ [In the bonus track of the fourth volume, there's a scene with Norah, where she's sleeping in a little building with hay on the floor and stuff. Norah's sleep is interrupted by someone asking to talk to her outside the doors. Enek warns her against answering, and the person asks, "Is someone with you?" Another voice says "That fairy belongs to the church." Scared, she clings to Enek, a guy outside opens the door, the frames pan above the buildings, and Norah's seen again with a soulless look in her eyes. What the fuck happened? I have not been able to find out just by looking it up, and I greatly dislike the implications.]

^Okay, wat? Maybe it will make sense to me if I read but I dunno.
  • You can change. You can.
Anyway, we still need to decide how are we gonna do this thing. If we're gonna use Skype, then I have a question: Can it be moderated?

Also, I already have an account, fwiw.

So...what're we going to do? G+, Skype or IRC seem to be the top choices.
  • $80+ per session
Yes, a Skype group is moderated.
  • You can change. You can.
How? founder has kicking rights or something?
  • $80+ per session
Yes, the founder has kicking rights (also inviting rights), and can edit the posts of everyone including themselves. I'm sure they can do other stuff too, but I'm not sure what.
  • I'm for skype, but I'm open to Google+ and IRC
  • You can change. You can.
    Ignore functions?

Seems a bit over the top, but we can work it out.

OK, I accept and have either of the three services, anyway

  • $80+ per session
    Yes, ignore functions too.
