  • You can change. You can.
    I liked it and agreed with all its points, myself.

    It was a bit too harsh, but TRS, natch.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    I'd be politer if they were smarter.
  • You can change. You can.
    Like I said, TRS, natch.
  • It presents itself logically and fairly,

    being harsh is not a problem it suffers for what it's trying to get across, at least that's how I see it.

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    I didn't feel it was too harsh at all.  It felt pretty detached to me.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    And this is why I now write long posts.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    I went and voted yes for rename.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Yay!
  • +1 for the All-Rounder, if only because you can then keep a pic of Mario and a caption joking at his portliness.

  • Clean your room little Billy

    I think I'm a fan of "Jack of All Stats" myself.
  • I like Jack of all Stats
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Could you all like... post in the thread then? >_>
  • Oh, was the name suggested there?
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    No.

    It's already a redirect for the Trope.

    But I'm trying to get people to see why it's a better name than The Mario.
  • Mr. The Edge goes to Washington

    Looks like tropers forgot what "The Mario" really is.

    'The Mario' is a goddamn lazy dance. One step, another step, twitch a bit, repeat. Try bustin that move at The Electric Goomba, you'll get laughed all the way back to Sarasaland.

    Mr. The Edge goes to Washington

    I know... you must use this knowledge and change the trope title... The Mario can't be The Mario because of The Mario... This error must be fixed... I'd do it myself but... Fast- *dies from bloodloss and 33 pencils to the back*

  • Woki mit deim Popo.
    I suppose your tombstone has the Bra Chart on it.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    I am so glad we got that cut.
  • Woki mit deim Popo.
    Yeah, that was something that belonged on the fetish fuel wiki.  That wouldn't that get a lot use outside of Japanese media.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    It doesn't get a lot of use in Japanese media.
  • Mr. The Edge goes to Washington

    Nah, I'm okay! The pencils were broken already.

    I could stand the trope being called All-Rounder. Besides, this trope only applies to the character, Mario, in the sports and kart series. As well as Super Mario 64 DS, but that doesn't count.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Exactly!

    Jesus.
  • Mr. The Edge goes to Washington
    This trope could easily be called The Cody or The Axel.

    Here is something I am considering posting in the relevant thread.

    Here is something to consider.

    When someone is asked to describe a well-balanced character, someone who is well-rounded, god at everything but the best at nothing, which of these are you going to pick to search for:

    a) Well-Rounded Character;

    b) Jack of All Trades;

    c) Jack of All Stats;

    d) Balanced Character;

    e) The Mario?

    Furthermore, if you then leave the site, if you later try to recall the concept, which name are you going to remember easier; a name that is descriptive of the concept being described, or a name of one of the many characters being described on the page?

    Is this likely to be listened to, do you think?

    ^ The Ryu.
  • You can change. You can.
    I'd say so, yeah.
  • Mr. The Edge goes to Washington
    ^^Oh! The Ryu! That's a good one too. Nice posting btw.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Thanks.

    Too bad it was completely ignored, and I was told to prove misuse or GTFO.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    I tried to give you a hand on that front.
