  • You can change. You can.
Cygan: And they were. But [REDACTED] had to go and ruin it.

Anyway, is it me or this exchange is incredibly awful?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I dunno. Given how often the "Edit Banned" thread gets derailed by non-mods showing up and just talking, I'd say they've been pretty lenient in that regard.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Damn that [REDACTED]...

I don't see it as particularly awful myself. The chatter annoys me too.
  • You can change. You can.
I dunno, my problem is with the wording (Persona Non Grata has way too many connotations that I'm sure Fighteer did not mean. Or at least, I hope he didn't mean)

Or maybe it's just me. -shrug-

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Well, he did say that non-mods weren't currently persona non grata.

I dunno. Probably could have phrased it better, yeah.
  • You can change. You can.
    True, I guess.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
Persona non grata (Latinpluralpersonae non gratae), literally meaning "an unwelcome person", is a legal term used in diplomacy that indicates a proscription against a person entering the country. It is the most serious form of censure which one country can apply to foreign diplomats, who are otherwise protected by diplomatic immunity from arrest and other normal kinds of prosecution.

    O_O
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Bear in mind, this would only apply to one thread.

blah blah precedents blah blah still an issue blah blah mods aren't always on site blah blah sometimes the chatter can be helpful when a mod is not there blah blah

    Woki mit deim Popo.
Persona non grata, wouldn't that policy imply the mods have a license to thump people without being obligated to explain the thumping in that thread?
  • You can change. You can.
    Exactly my problem with it.

Yes, the irrelevant chatter is annoying, but is there a point in making it harder for non-mods who can contribute to the thread and help the banned people to obtain info to post?
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
That's why it would only happen if the inane chatter gets so bad it can't be stopped otherwise.
  • Kichigai birthday!!
Who has been declared persona non grata?

If you can't say it here in the thread send me a PM
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Nobody has. Fighteer stated that non-mods were not persona non grata in the Edit Banned thread.
  • Kichigai birthday!!
    I see, thanks
  • Amusing is subjective.

It's not a valid reason, ever at all, nor will it ever be valid.

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
Anyone have another link to Cygan, Ninjaclown, and Forzare's escapades through TT?
  • "Ok, Amusing is subjective? but creepy and boring isn't?"

Actually, Creepy and Boring are subjective, It's a good thing we took the time to spell out the connotations of those in the last 100 pages.
  • I probably should apologize for contributing to the derail. Sorry!

So, how many minutes until this ends? They need 6 more for an exact 2:1 ratio, so...
  • I'm just scrumming through Bobby's post history looking for Good quotes from him.

"If you can't phrase your thoughts the right way, find somebody who can"
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I really doubt that if Eddie doesn't go through with this, his reason will be something as dumb as "the ratio was only 1.99:1."
  • You can change. You can.
I think you misunderstand. We would like it gone. We do not particularly care where it goes. That could be oblivion for all we would care.

    It's official.

    I'm president of Bobby's fanclub.

Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
We have, what, 4 mods on board with the deletion? Even if it goes under the 2:1 mark, we have enough leverage to pull through anyway.

    I hope.

    v What?

When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
^^ Wow. I knew that The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was hated by fans of Morrowind, but I had no idea just how much.

^ This is a joke. Let me explain this joke for you.

Bobby G, in his post, used the word "oblivion". Oblivion is the subtitle of the fourth installment of a popular computer RPG series known as The Elder Scrolls. It is less popular with fans of the previous installment, Morrowind. Therefore, I made a joke based upon these facts, using it as a pun. I hope that clears up everything for you.

I like it when TVT is unfair. It makes it easier for my side to win.
  • You never made it clear which side you're on.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
She's on the Vorpy side. Obviously.
