Imagine my surprise when I found out Kidz Bop has a German division, and they cover Wincent Weiss and Max Giesinger songs! I mean, it's not 100% necessary but, like, such fun!
Though ngl it feels a bit much to be covering a musician with a style as mature as Max Giesinger.
If they get some Gregor Hagele songs or Luca Hanni songs on here, I'll be all set.
Their path was not smooth.
They could not sustain their image.
They could not relate to their fans.
Also that there was once a Japanese version of Rain (who was also Korean) that went by the name K.
I also learned that Shimizu Shota was once in an embarrassingly adorable R&B boy band.
This video shows how Commodore 64 game soundtrack looks like on an oscilloscope.
Basically the entire soundtracks for the modern (2003 onward) Ys games are awesome. I only personally know a few of the games (i.e. basically none of the more recent ones), but here are some highlights:
Ys VI: the Ark of Napishtim
* Quatera Woods
* Ruins of Amnesia
* The Zemeth Sanctum
* Pressure Stairs (a more ambient track)
* Black Ark Unveiled (a rather unusual track)
Ys: the Oath in Felghana
* The Boy's Got Wings (a.k.a. The Boy Who Had Wings)
* Illburns Rins
* A Searing Struggle
* Snare of Darkness
* Valestein Castle or Seal of Time (I'm listing both together because these aren't my favorites but they're still decent and apparently everyone else loves Valestein Castle)
* Beat of Destruction
* Premonition
Ys Origin
Basically the entire soundtrack. Seriously this is one of my favorite soundtrack of all time. But I promised highlights, so...
* Roda
* Bonds With Companion
* Tower of the Shadow of Death (this track appears in Ys 1 but I prefer this version)
* Water Prison
* Scarlet Tempest
* Samsara and Paramnesia
* Scars of the Divine Wing
* So Much For Today (even the game over theme is beautiful...)
* Prelude to the Omen
* My Lord, Our Brave
* The Pain of Separation
* Memory of Salmon (it's supposed to be "Memory of Solomon" lol)
* Genesis Beyond the Beginning or Beyond the Beginning (basically three versions of the same track; the in-game dungeon version uses different instrumentation while the outtro track is a longer version of the intro track. the shorter (2:20) version from the game's opening might be the best for independent standalone listening.)
Ys I
* Fountain of Love
* The Last Moment of the Dark
Ys II
* To Make the End of Battle (another perennial favorite)
Atelier Sophie
* Campanella of Sun through Trees
* Spring Wind Skylark
Atelier Sophie
* Spring Bird, a.k.a. Warbler
Atelier Meruru
* Terminus for Meruru (I'm not entirely sure which game this comes from but I presume it's the one with the same name. there's also another version of this track, just called "Terminus", which I think is on the soundtrack of Atelier Totori, but it's not as epic as this version.)
