    > Roll

    > motor oil

    ROFL

    > Cirno

What's being offered to her?  I can't see it clearly.

    > Gay Luigi

    > spaghetti

    I approve.

    > Yayoi Takatsuki

Again, this one's kinda dark.  You bring a light?  Is that an ice cream cone?

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

Also, this idea is dying to become a Mystery Hunt puzzle.

  • Seem too unhealthy to me. *shrug*

Oh, be quiet.  It's perfectly healthy to eat cake once in a while!

(yes I know what you mean)

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

    I see Batman in there.

Can't say I blame him though.

  • Also, someone is giving Rin Kokonoe alcohol.  That is probably a bad idea she is too young to be drinking that could hurt her liver.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

So...what do they do with the stuff?

  • Presumably, leave it there for a while and then either eat it or throw it away.

  • You can change. You can.

    I see Batman in there.

Can't say I blame him though.

Batman is moe, though, we've been over this

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

But...eating it would defeat the purpose, and throwing it away would be really wasteful...

  • You can change. You can.

clearly, the shove the cake down the cable

So...what do they do with the stuff?

    They do this:

  • In any case, I suppose I'll have to figure out what they do by November 27.

And learn how to make cakes.

And become enough of a shut-in that I think it'd actually be a good idea to make a cake for an anime girl.

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

    What's being offered to Nanoha?

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

Someone should offer Bowser's Clown Car to Kisume.

  • ^^ It looks like it's just a cake.

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

    What about Cirno and Yayoi?

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

Do I want to know what November 27 is?

  • You can change. You can.

    i figure it's yui's birthday?

also, i hate the fact that i can make this extrapolation

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

    I think it's a fictional character's birthday.

...wait, it had better be a fictional character's birthday.  This had better not be some sort of proposed wedding date.

^^^^ For Yayoi, I want to say it's an ice-cream cone of some sort, since it looks like it has a cone-shaped bottom thing.  But I could be wrong.  For Cirno I have no clue.  Something rectangular.  Could be a candy bar or something but that would be a pretty lame gift.

    ^^ はいです。 (tl;dr: yes,desu)

^ Clearly I'm not going to propose to Yui.

If she married me then she couldn't marry Azusa.

    God, seriously.

  • why would anybody do that?

Well Ishinomori Shotaro would do that, for one. Cyborg 009 (also the world's very first superhero team) predated anything he did on Kamen Rider.

  • You can change. You can.

I'm pretty sure Cyborg 009 doesn't predate superman

    unless you mean in-universe

  • whoops that is wrong.

  • There is love everywhere, I already know

Aniplex can sell me Oreimo but not Madoka.

Licensing anime must get really annoying...

  • Yeah, Japanese companies are only willing to license anime under very specific and restrictive terms, usually.  Lots of stuff like only being able to sell the DVDs/BDs to people in one specific country, having to have subtitles that can't be turned off to discourage Japanese fans from importing the cheaper North American BDs...

There is love everywhere, I already know

But there's this new trend of having English subs on Japanese BDs... was there a demand for this with the Japanese fans or do they just hope there are enough insane international fans to buy their overpriced BDs?

Says the guy who pre-orders every Symphogear BD.

And no, Symphogear has no subs on the BDs.

  • edited 2012-07-12 10:32:23

It's the second one, as far as I know.  I mean, some people actually do import a lot of Japanese BDs, after all.  And of course the Japanese companies make a much, much larger profit off of people buying the Japanese releases than the overseas ones.  In fact, as far as I know, most of the money that the Japanese companies make from overseas DVD/BD releases comes from licensing fees, and not necessarily from actually selling any discs.

  • There is love everywhere, I already know

I'd assume the ton of money they're making is partly due to charging 50-70 dollars for 2-3 episodes+some special feelies, right?
