Also, is it weird that even though the premise doesn't interest me and the little bit of it I watched seems pretty bad, I really want to watch MM! because the OP theme has Ayana Taketatsu (voice of Azusa in K-ON!) saying "Go to hell desu!"?

I've already listened to it far more than that! Though yes, I get the point. But still, OP/ED songs make me want to watch the show for whatever reason.
Soundtracks do that for me all the time (When they are good, of course)
I get it with overall soundtracks. You hear the music in its proper context and all that.
I don't usually notice/pay attention to OSTs enough while I'm watching a show to be able to actually remember what the context of any particular piece is when I listen to it on the album, so...
That's interesting. Particular scenes/openings are what make me like the songs.
Just finished episode 19 of FMA: Brotherhood. Nyktos was right, it really did pick up. Well, aside from there being an entire episode of "blah blah Hughes is dead".
I'm gonna miss Barry. ;_;

Presumably because K-On! wouldn't have looked like those if it were from the 90s. Same reason the 80s one doesn't look like a Gundam character.

I already have Berserk and Alien Nine on my "to watch" list, but I'd forgotten about Saikano (though I'd read about it), so I'll remember that.
Don't watch Berserk, read Berserk.
Though I say that about most manga that have adaptations it goes double for Berserk.
I'm aware that it's definitely better to read it—more plot, always more plot—but I have no money and I doubt that my library has it, so... yeah.

I recommend watching the show and then reading it (from the beginning) after. It's quite interesting that way.

I watched Slayers as a kid, and loved it, and watched it again later and it is still funny and entertaining.
