I watching Kaiba right now. It's very good, but every episode leaves me horribly depressed
I wish I could but I feel like I'm forgetting major parts of the second half of S2 (Watching it at the same time as Eureka Seven AO, which as everyone knows is the only thing I ever think/talk about).
The official Daisuki site opened yesterday, I think they're just streaming the first three-five episodes of a couple of series (including Madoka and the Gundam SEED HD remaster). They seem to be planning a future competitor to cdjapan/amiami alongside the streaming anime bits. They have some really cool stuff.
I think the site could be a cool hub for anime fans, but that's probably not going to happen.
And yes, before you ask, the Aniplex stuff appears to be region locked.
In more important news. Funimation has revealed Ao's English voice actor (never heard of him, sadly) and the preorder for Funi's Eureka Seven AO Part 1 set is up on rightstuf.
I'm going to download an anime to watch next week. I've decided I'll throw a coin and if I get tails I'll download a pandering cancer-that-is-killing-anime show (Probably Nyaruko) and if I get heads I'll download a critically acclaimed masterpiece (Probably Planetes).
Thank God I got Planetes
No, thank the coin.
I ended up downloading Nyaruko, since it's shorter and I'll have to watch over the next two weeks, also the filesize is smaller. I'll watch Planetes in Summer.
Besides, after Kaiba I feel like watching something that's not very serious, and I want to know how it feels to watch one of these shows.
What is Nyaruko?
Typical harem show where a bunch of attractive girls want benis in vagina with oblivious MC, but this time the girls are based on Lovecraftian mythos
I now want to see moë Eldritch horrors battling moë dictators.
Apparently, Yukari Tamura and Nana Mizuki are getting Nendoroid figures made of them.
Also, there's this Anime Sols thing which just started a (for now NA only) streaming service, and they're doing Kickstarter-ish crowdfunding to get DVD sets out. Although apparently you need a North American IP address to pledge as well.
@fourteenwings: What would you think of the idea of merging the personalities of Lumière and Laffinty? Obviously, their personalities are different, but they both have a different take on the idea of a dignified air about them. Lumière seems to be more about a steady, well-planned elegance, while Laffinty (i.e. Lan) seems more anxious about it.
Who is Lumiere?
Also, I'm a little confused with Black Rock Shooter (TV version). Like, how does the stuff with BRS actually relate to Mato's life? Why is there a relation? Is BRS aware of Mato?
Lumière is one of the two primary main characters in Kiddy Grade. She's the shorter, blue-color-scheme character.
Naa_H_Sapiens,

Have you finished the series? I got the impression that they sort of explained things later on. If you have watched all of the episodes and are still confused, I am with you there though. While I guess the explanations in the TV series were more substantial than the largely non-existent (if I am remembering correctly) ones in the OVA, BRS does not seem to be known for its clarity.
That being said, if you have any theories about what you mentioned, I would be glad to hear them.
Eh, forgot to mention that I'm only 3/8 with the series so far. Honestly, at first it seems like things that happen to BRS are entirely metaphorical, but she seems a little more real somehow now.
Also, I'm guessing Saya-chan-sensei (is that even grammatically appropriate?) is Black Gold Saw's counterpart, unless it turns out to be someone who hasn't shown up yet.
Lan is... something while Lumière projects the sort of "Calm even in the midst of Chaos" feeling that you'd usually get from a confident old man character (Regal-ness optional), so I think it would be quite... interesting.
Speaking of shows directed by Keiji Gotoh I've been thinking about how doing a Michiru-centric viewing of Uta~Kata would be really interesting because it would truly revolve around an almost ghostly approach to seeing magic.
There was money to be made and nobody was making it? The Nana Mizuki Nendoroid looks lovely great in that Lovely Fruit PV outfit!
Anyways, BlazBlue confirmed for fall! It'll be adapting Continuum Shift because nobody remembers Calamity Trigger or something but probably to promote the upcoming Chronophantasma home release.
Also:
I love you guys
Eh, I just never hear of it happening with Western VAs. Then again, this looks to be more relevant to them as singers than VAs, so maybe that's why.
@Nyktos I think those kind of dolls are usually for celebrities known more for live-action roles. But I guess that was the point you were trying to make?
I guess Western countries don't have the kind of seiyuu culture to make this kinda thing happen, or else Hasbro or somebody would've made a Steve Blum with Woverine claws* figure. And there's probably the issue of getting rights to the VA's likeness for merchandising, even if it's a stylised representation. Or at least merchandise that blatantly represents the actor rather than a character they play.
*note:pic is kinda gory, although it's just a somewhat crude photoshop job
Maybe Lan wishes to be like that but is just a bit too anxious and self-conscious to do it.
It's possible that Lan wants to be like that, or something. It's never really clear what Lan wants to be at all or who Lan is ever.
Rei's sock-shininess is really bothering me now. (And right in time for my avatar change)
Oh hey, SHINPHOGEAH G broadcast schedule.
Also, Watamote character pictures, but apparently still no detail on more anime-specific information like say, voice cast, at least as far as I've heard.
Is Symphogear G the sequel to Symphogear?
...and I haven't even watched the first one...sigh...
I want to see an actual natural redheaded girl cosplaying (with natural hair) as Kanata Shinonome.
Is it just me or does anyone else occasionally feel like various characters when you dress like them?`
Like, when cosplaying or...?
No, just wearing ordinary clothing that's associated with them. Like, feeling like Yuko Ooshima (however you spell her name) from AKB0048 (not the real-life one) when wearing a yellow buttoned shirt.
I don't think something like that ever occurred to me. But that might be due to not giving much thought to my clothes anyway.
Hey, more Symphogear G stuff!
