Again, I hate thunder storms. This is like the third or forth one this week.
^^ Slightly related: Last night, I had a sudden idea of creating a videogame where you play a teenager who runs away from home, and you immediately have to figure out your own finances, your own resources and living expenses, and stuff. You run away from home with a small amount of cash. You have some friends who might be willing to host you, but you can't stay at anyone's place for too long, so you have to quickly find yourself a job and a rental. And of course you have to feed yourself lest you faint/go insane/die from hunger. And you hope you don't get sick from walking around in the rain. Something like that.
@InsanityAddict: I didn't mean to imply your story wasn't true; I just felt like invoking the Everybody Walk The Dinosaur meme because funny.
@Formaldehyde: What's the RP about?
^ The landlady I'll be renting from just asked me to please bring rain to northern Virginia.
You can find the introduction here:

It would be rad if you guys did an RP here that was a part of the same storyline, and the GMs eventually cooperated to join the two RPs.
Well you are using a student permit aren't you? If you aren't studying or can't declare a transference in case of expulsion then it's normally revoked.
Or at least that's how it works.
You've got to watch out for those lazy terrorists. You never know what they'll do, eventually, when they finally get around to it.
Those blasted kids. Not going to school, preparing bombs, using their blackberries and their mePhones.
Even more excited to get to London now, and the other students seem cool. Started to make some friends, even.
Also, there was a dance last night and all the Greece kids showed up in togas.
These kids today with their sleepy expressions, and their Satanic tattoos, and their running around in the arcade parlors, and their shiny gold blam blam or whatever they call it, and their dangerous skateboards, and their Chef Boyardees and their dang-fangled computer machines teaching them how to make bombs, and their iFrogs or whatever they call it, and their automobiles with the wheels that look like they're still spinning when they stop, and their trenchcoats, and their colorful T-shirts with the Marxist propaganda on them, and their thong sandals, and their Britney Spears's husbands, and their powdered wigs, and their peg legs with the decals on 'em, and their low-carb diets, and their Rockin' the Vote, and their collectible bottle caps, and their tiny little cameras inside the tiny little portable telephones, and their "for shizzle mcfizzley ding dong dizzle" Snoopy Dog language, and their general disrespect towards their elders, well they can burn in hell, I say, every last one of them!
Is that a quote from somebody?
and their colorful T-shirts with the Marxist propaganda on them
I'll have you know that we only wear those ironically now, thank you very much.
The rest is pretty much true, though.
@Evergreen: A song, actually.
Various members here have tried starting up RPs using various different systems over the last year or so.
As I recall, none of them got off the ground.
we are not good with computers oh god how do i turn this off
Also, Formalhyde, I had a look at the BTL Unfettered Feedback thread after looking at the RP thread. Can you pass something on to JHM from me?
I don't want him to follow the advice of Martello, Barkey, Orcus or whoever thinks his even-minded and compassionate approach is annoying.
Anyway, I'm aware that I'm not well-liked around those parts, so I'll leave it there. I just want you to let JHM know he's a good chap by me.
You know JHM posts here too right?
I will.
And I wouldn't say that you're not well-liked, it's just that we were high on one of our arrogance trips, and bitched you out because you were available.
I'll be the first person to admit that we can be very idiotic and judgemental at times, and I apologize for getting pissy with you that last time you were there. Please don't let our actions from then give you the wrong impression.
It'd be great if we could restore the relationship between these sites, because there are wonderful people on either one, and it'd be great if we could all just.. er, get along.
^^ Yes, but there's a fair chance he'll miss this page. The current situation at BTL seems like a pretty vicious dogpile at he moment, and Formal (you're Werewolf Militia, right?) has been the only one giving JHM any words of support.
That said, I advise against any further discussion of BTL at the moment. Let's try to rustle as few jimmies as possible and all that. I probably ought to have sent that last post as a PM in any case, so that's my bad, but whatever. Point is, I don't want any more pissing matches between them and us.
^ Thank you, and I agree.
Thank you, Alex. I really appreciate what you said.
Yes, I am. And nobody had better so much as unfasten one trouser button over there, or they're getting a few hammerfalls.
Anyway, the invitation is still open, and I'll quit talking about BTL/IJBM lovechild RPs.
Thanks for listening!
Oh, the RP thing was never an issue. Pretty legit suggestion, if IJBMers had the capacity to get their shit together for RPs.
^^ No problem.
Well, like I said before, it'd be totes rad if you guys did your section of the RP (Set in the same world) over here, with GMs cooperating in order to tie the two stories together.
Actually, what WOULD be a really cool thing is if you had something like, a multi-dimension RP where players from two or more different web communities don't ever see players from other communities directly, but their environments change based on the actions of other communities' players.
TVT just showed me an ad for Goodspeed Opera House's production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical Carousel.
A cross forum RP would if be interesting if we could pull it off.
Seems to clunky, in my opinion.
Evergreen: A Lemon Demon song. Samuel and Rosella, I think.
I posted the link already...
Yeah I listened to it, thanks. It was funny. Sort of. I mean, after what happened in Colorado anything describing mass murder is slightly less funny to me...
