For the record, I'd be fine with attempting to participate in an RP. Probably not running it, though, unless absolutely no one else considers it. But I have significantly more free time now.

After HSO wraps up, there's an idea for a 4th edition one-shot I've had in mind for a while (mainly just to see if I can run 4th edition so I can do a longer game); I might post that here, see if it works out by virtue of being a one-shot.

Yeah. I was actually pretty stoked for it. Seems like a good system.
Medieval fantasy RPG with a realistic combat system (as in, written by someone who knows the martial arts of medieval Europe) and a magic system built around combining different magical effects, where the penalty for failure is aging your character.
It's pretty neat, and can satisfy both the historical and fantasy crowds. Unfortunately, it's both very obscure and out of print, although this means you can obtain the rules via download free of guilt.
I am not sure it is the 'shippers' part of that I am mocking.
