Is it? Damn. Then it's two years until the really good stuff. I mean, Game of Thrones has been good for its first two seasons, but the third book is a major payoff in a lot of ways. It's a shame Martin made the story so twisted and complex beforehand, because it would have been a good place to end the series if the previous books had been a bit simpler. Especially given how A Feast For Crows turned out.
Man, would that be a great cliffhanger or what?
I still haven't seen any of Game of Thrones, though. Too expensive, and I don't feel like hunting around for torrents or streams.
I actually felt that this season's Jon Snow's plot was incredibly weak in comparison to the first season.
Actually, in a lot of ways, season 2 was a let down (Not to say it was bad, but season 1 is better. Much better)
Not surprising -- the first book is better than the second to begin with, and the changes to Jon's characterisation didn't do him any favours. I felt the high points of this season were Theon as a character and the whole debacle in King's Landing. In the book, Theon was sympathetic, but he was played as more directly villainous; in the show, they went to pains in order to portray Theon as a victim of his time and the expectations thrust upon him. The show also hides the conclusion of the battle was King's Landing until the very last moment, too, which left it exciting even though I had read the book and knew what was supposed to happen.
shame the swordfighting isn't better
Yeah, the Theon and Tyrion plotlines were my favourites this season. And the Stannis one, but that wasn't because of the scripting so much because of the acting, which I've found very compelling.
I think the weakest ones were Jon (We have him basically dicking around the mountains with some girl being all tsundere towards him), Robb (Which was mostly lame because Robb has always been a rather archetypical character with no real nuance to him) and Daenerys (Which was so filled with unnecessary scenes in order to pad it out throughtout the season that it's ridiculous)
Thank you, guys. ^_^
Also - two army cadets (a guy and a girl) were killed in a training accident, while seven others were injured.
The girl was the daughter of my mom's friend, and she's quite depressed because of that. She says that the girl was beautiful, intelligent and an absolutely wonderful person.
A pity.
Sorry to hear that, Milos.

Drawing hands sucks x.x Feet... Also suck, but not as much
Thanks, guys.
I'm applying for the Faculty of Law. The entry exam is only in a week, and it's going to be damn tough.
I wish you the best of luck, then!
I believe I've just gotten embroiled in my first BTL drama ever, over something really stupid.
I certainly do prefer this place sometimes.
Glad I left as quickly as I did.
I still need to get an archived thread from Nils.
Putting a guy who's devolved into complete shitposting and was basically a total troll before that on my ignore list certainly helped. A bit of a blunt solution, but it helped.
The only time I've gone there over the last few weeks, I was tired out of my mind.
And... the drama is pretty stupid.
Should I go check or am I better not knowing, guinea pig Nova?
You're better off not knowing. And this is coming from little ol' masochistic me.
It's just... asinine. Boring. Petty.
Nothing like a flamewar. Just people being assholes and missing the point.
that is some pretty great editing.
BTL is going dark?
...well, that's interesting.
What's going to become of Jack Butler's redeveloping Tropes Mirror Wiki into a substantial TVT alternative?
They're making another BTL.
Problem is, if the same people who made the previous two problematic are still there, and they will be, little will change. Though if Autumncomet is running it this time . . . well, I don't know Nils well enough not to have faith in him, but I think Autumncomet could do a good job with it.
Yeah, I know. I won't be going back myself.
I might occasionally check it, to see who's there and how they're doing, but I don't anticipate active participation.
Why is the current one going to go dark?
nils got fed up with running it.
Because of intra-site drama, or because of drama with other sites?
