Also , I love my kindle so much, and I'm not even getting paid to say that.
I'm reading mine right now, actually. Ah, A.D.D.
I think Kindles are pretty lame tbh.
We're all allowed to be wrong sometimes.
My dad's got a kindle, I kinda want one to save space and stuff. But on the other hand...I like books...
It's easier to read a Kindle in the dark. It saves paper, which is environmentally friendly. You save a lot of shelf space. You can buy books a lot easier.
On the other hand, it takes a lot of battery power, and it's a bit annoying to use.
It's not without drawbacks (the inability to lend for example) but the advantages outstrip the drawbacks if you ask me.
And apparently it doesn't support CBR or CBZ files, which would make trying to read comics a bitch.
From what I've heard, if you get them off Comixology, they're fine.
Ah see, I buy my comics from a local comic book shop, and then scan them and zip them.
I'm looking at Kindles now, and not sure which would be best...there are a lot of them
I am not good at running campaigns XD At least I have the excuse of, "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD HOW DO I DO THIS I'VE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE!"
x.x I STILL don't know how much damage that Aqua grunt took from Smog...
Also, INUH, if any of us get a Pokemon with Smog in PTA, that thing has a radius of 3 meters. So a circle 7 wide. We may want to stay the hell away from that Pokemon
^^Fire is the most expensive, but I think it's worth it.
IJBM: Making up strawmen that don't exist for the sake of complaining.
Sometimes I wonder why people get so pissed off at the Irate Gamer. After all, he's just an idiot who won't be taken seriously by anyone, especially considering his Tekken 6 "review". I'd be more worried about Confused Matthew as at least I can derive point-and-laugh humour value from Chris Bores.
^But then how else would you prove yourself purer than the common vulgar weak licentious crowd?
> reading kindle rather than books
> reading books rather than parchment
> reading parchment rather than stone tablets
> reading stone tablets rather than using oral communication
> communicating
am disappoint in all of you
^ You just used a computer to talk to us though
That's what I was thinking, though I found it odd that it lacks the 3G of some of the cheaper models.
^^ no its called scrying
The Kindle Fire also lacks the E Ink display of the older models, which seems like a fairly serious problem since I had thought that the display was one of the big reasons for the Kindle's success compared to just, like, a regular tablet. Also the Fire has a much shorter battery life.
But, I do not own and have in fact never used a Kindle, so...
I do think the E-Ink is pretty cool, but you can get comics and video and stuff on Fire.
^I used to say that, then I ran out of shelf space.
^ Then you make more shelf space?
I did. Several times. I'm out of space for shelf space now.
I used to say that, then I renewed my library card
Alabamian libraries aren't known for being very good -_-
The one in Tuscaloosa serves more as a homeless shelter than as an actual library.
Yeah, I just use the library and buy on the rare occasion I can't get it that way (or just when I get the urge to support an author), but I live in a city with a good library system.
But, I dunno. Reading in bed with a Kindle just seems wrong.
Well, when I'm reading in bed, it's because my parents think I'm asleep, so I have to hold the book and my flashlight iPhone. So it's not exactly convenient for me that way.
