    Actually, Oreo Dark Ascension is proving too damn awesome to not try and take to a tournament at least once in my lifetime. Of course, it's possible it'll never see the light of the day in Standard, but there's always Modern. Then again

    It really is much more fun playing with paper rather than on a computer. Though when you think about how much anything but the cheapest decks cost, compared to, say, video games, it seems wasteful. Not you, Affinity Control. You'll always be daddy's favourite.

    For what is worth, apart from Sorin, there isn't much in the term of expensive cards in these decks, except for Platinum Emperion, and both of them can be easily replaced.

    Mirrodin's still current and playable in Modern. Of course, everything ever has been banned in Modern at least once. Probably twice, surely thrice.

    There's a config executable in the game's folder, twiddling around with these options should help.


     


    Also, it's common that EoSD runs slower than later games, presumably ZUN didn't know how to optimize stuff well back then.
