You know what it felt like? It felt like the end of Zoids New Century Zero, except I WAS THE LIGER ZERO AND INSTEAD OF A RACIST T-REX ROBOT IT WAS THE FUCKING LORD OF DARKNESS
The entire last part of Castlevania seemed to be about making you feel awesome, in fact.
I know a Castlevania 3, I know a Super Castlevania 4, but Super Castlevania 3...?
Whoop dee doo.
I haven't really sat down to play it yet.
I did play one round and failed pretty hard.
Ouch, Alan Wake for 50% off on Steam. They've been on a roll for awesome sales lately.
The XBLA game is 25% off for preorder on Steam if you have Alan Wake.
^^ That reminds me, I need to finish the DLC.
I loved the main game so much.
^Sweet, thanks for the headsup.
About the 3DS: Why is text blurrier on it?
^The 3DS uses a different screen in order to facilitate 3D, and DS games played on it look a little blurry as a side effect.
Man, Devil Survivor is an awesome visual novel with occasional gameplay segments that get me buttfrustrated like a Megaman fan listening to Marvel Vs. Capcom news.
Goddamnit Malk, stop making me want to drop money on a 3DS for Devil Survivor Overclocked. I'm saving that money for other important things. Like health insurance or a bishoujo statue of Rogue for the comics shelf.
Who's talking about Overclocked? I've sailed that ship. I'm going on 2, which has more characters to join your party and adds a relationship system similar to Persona's.
I just watch TV while grinding.
Devil Survivor and its titty monsters
Is the current Indie Royale bundle, the May Hurray bundle, worth the $5.20 roughly?
Is the whole thing, plus the music bonus, worth the $7?
So...EA sent me a thing offering to sell me up to three games on Origin for 75% off.
But I already have the game I want that requires Origin, so that's kinda useless.
Hey, guys I found a cool Mega Man fangame that was just released!
It's called Mega Man Revolution, and here's the download link:
http://www.fifthindependent.com/multimedia/programs/mega-man-revolution/
I read the first line and my heart nearly stopped thinking it was Mega Man X: Corrupted.
However, this game is bound to be cool as well.
Anyone wanna give me a recommendation either way on the current Indie Royale bundle?
^The only one I've heard of is Dungeon Defenders, a mash-up of Tower Defense and Diablo style hack-and-slash. I haven't played it myself, but it did get some good reviews.
I'm not really interested in anything there BUT Dungeon Defenders, actually.
It's just a matter of whether that game is worth about $5.20 (or whatever the minimum is), and whether it's worth $7.
$7 is still about half of its base price on Steam.
How deeply does it get discounted durin--Hmm, seems like it goes down to $3.74 sometimes.
But...
Hmm. Desura AND DRM-free?
Being decoupled from Steam is definitely a nice thing. The question is whether that's worth $1.50.
I just got Monster Hunter Tri. Tell me all there is to know about the game, at least, to get me started.
The weapons suck. Kinda. They're all very difficult to deal with and there's no singular "good" weapon -- everything is a tradeoff. Only the sword and shield allows you to block and move at a decent speed, for instance, whereas the greatsword slows your movement down considerably, the hammer lacks a block function, the lance blocks well but also has slow movement, the switch axe can change between being a greatsword and a hammer-like axe weapon while keeping strong mobility -- but again, it can't block.
Essentially, it's about trying out the different weapons and finding one that works for you.
Also, preparation is key in this game.
When you're up against a new monster, I suggest focusing less on fighting and more on observing for your first few tries. The dodge button is your best friend.
