But you could count him as poison-type too, and we weren't >
Meanwhile, there is exactly one pure Flying-type, introduced in Gen V.
Those generations also introduced a pure Poison-type that can only evolve once; Grimer to Muk, Gulpin to Swalot, and Trubbish to Garbodor.
^ And all three are amorphous blobs!
Indeed.
Though interestingly, despite all the complaints about "oh, Generation 5 has a garbage-type Pokèmon! That's so stupid!", the pure poison-type designs have distinctly improved every time they appeared.
By the way, Trubbish finished off a trio of waste
Solid: Trubbish -> Garbador
Liquid: Grimer -> Muk
Gas: Koffing -> Weezing
Would have been neat if Roxie used Trubbish, Grimer, and Koffing instead...
Some of the first gen Pokemon were stupid, some of the fifth gen Pokemon are stupid.
Should I just kill everything in the grass, Audino or not, or should I concentrate on Audino only?
^^Yeah, that's basically my view. Every generation has amazing Pokèmon designs and amazingly bad Pokèmon designs.
Everything is quicker, Audino is less annoying and intensive.
Though I find 5th gen's designs to be a lot more hit or miss.
The Audinos on Route 10 can level you up quickly, especially with the Luck Egg.
^ Those are what I've been training against
I'm levelling 4 Pokemon from 50 to 55, 1 Pokemon from 57 to 62, and 1 Pokemon from 50 to 63 (then using a Rare Candy on that last level)
Huh. Already up 6 levels
When did that happen?
Two levels left then I rare candy Fatale and have myself a Hydreigon
Someone, when Gen 5 backlash was briefly a thing, screencapped a very, very old Usenet post from many moons ago where someone was evidently playing Blue for the first time, and came upon a Magikarp. His comment was something along the lines of "it's a fucking fish. What do I do with it?"
You train it into a level 30 murderfish, of coOh right no Physical/Special split...
Okay, question. Not trying to be a dick here, but does anyone else in this thread besides me not do Nuzlockes/competitive stuff/etc.? I kind of feel like the only casual player here.
Also how are you people done with B2/W2 already? It's only been out for like a week.
I play casual on occasion (I actually prefer monotype challenges the most, followed by normal play, then nuzlockes)
And I'm only at the third gym in B2/W2 (to be fair, my White Nuzlocke is in the way, but even so, I'd only be at the 4th or 5th gym by now)
I only just beat the first, but I also only got it yesterday.
Only Icalasari and I do, and I don't know about CU. And at the very least both Icalasari and I do normal playthroughs as well.
I've had it for two days, but I'm not done yet, I'm just up to the Elite Four.
Nova, my Hydreigon (Yay I now have a Pokemon that could solo the rest of the game!) knows Crunch, Hyper Voice, Dragon Pulse, and Work Up
What would be the best moveset I could give her right now?
Crunch, Dragon Pulse, Work Up, and Dragon Tail.
Apparently Hydreigon doesn't learn Dragon Dance. Bluh, Haxorus4eva
Hoooooooooooooooooooow?
I dunno, I guess I just assume everyone is as slow with games as I am.
Also I just ran into a random riot grrrl rocking out on the sidewalk in the third city. Eh?
Why would I use two Dragon Type attacks, one of which is just a damaging roar with imperfect accuracy that forces my Pokemon to go last, especially when I can go for type coverage?
I could see why I would for competitive, but why for a Nuzlocke?
Also, did another test of the Elite Four
Holy shit Hydreigon is a monster. After testing against Caitlin (wrecked her), I decided to end the test with Marshall
Basically, if I use Work Up even once, his Pokemon are going out in body bags. I'd still use my Cofagrigus, but just knowing that I have that... Thing...
Well, I've logged about eight hours now. It's fairly easy...
Because Dragon Pulse works off your Special Attack, and Dragon Tail forces your opponent to switch out in case you need time to set up Work Up.
Hydreigon has a sucky movepool in general, or I would have recommended swapping Dragon Tail out for Dragon Claw or Dragon Dance. As it stands, though, the STAB and the swap-out factor makes Dragon Tail a better choice than Hyper Voice- especially as the only thing that resists Dragon-type moves also resists Normal-type moves.
>a wild Magby appeared!
Game, I am trying to carefully select my main six Pokemon, not catch dafuq out of everything again!
I always feel bad locking Pokemon up in a PC box so I just release the ones I don't use, which leads to decisions having to be made if I want one and already have six.
I guess I just get distracted a lot.
^^ Wouldn't Surf be better, to take out Steel Types, or Draco Meteor for if I'm planning to switch soon and want to just do some massive damage?
^^ Catch all the Pokemon
No, seriously. You actually get something good if you complete the national dex
That something good is a 300% increase in Shinies
but but but Pokemon abuse
