Oh, right.
Yeah, you don't get to face a Crustle in the storyline there, so he'd have had to train it from scratch. Eugh.
What I learned from that video is that apparently the E4 is a place where you need to either gamble a bit to win or else overtrain
See above, RE: Archeops that swept everything with no risk at Level 52.
I just thought of something
What if I used Samurott against Caitlin? She knows X Scissor, and at level 57 learns Swords Dance
If she can take even a single Psychic, and I make her hold an expert belt or silver power, she could proceed to bulldoze Caitlin's team, excluding Sigliyph due to no rock, electric, ice, etc. attack
Oh dear god this guy made his Archeops Crunch Cofagrigus so it would lose Defeatist
Clever guy...
You have a Scrafty, don't you?
Offtopic: I still haven't gotten around to reading Soul Eater.
Right. Well, time to ignore you until you have. >
I have a Scrafty, yes
Reuniclus has Focus Blast
Which kills Dark Types Dead
STILL wish I didn't lose my Solosis in such a stupid way... (testing out the Entralink's missions. Solosis died in its first battle because I screwed up giving it a healing from Black)
Then kill it before it can use it. Reuniclus is slow as fuck, and has meagre defences. At the very least, you could deal with most of Caitlin's Pokemon with Scrafty, then swap in Samurott to deal with Reuniclus.
^ Wait wait wait
So does this mean that the only reason she started a sweep with me when I did an experimental battle was because Hustle made Zweilous' Crunch miss?
It's quite likely. Reuniclus is fairly easy to take out.
...Huh
Also, I picked up a strategy from this Nuzlocker
At least one of my two tanks (I think both of them) have Sturdy
He bought hundreds of potions and got into stall wars on purpose with his Sturdy Crustle
I can use my Sturdy Pokemon to stall war anything to death by potion spamming if it's too tough for me, since they'd eventually have to use Struggle, which will kill them over time
Jeez I wish I had thought of this stuff before...
That's the sort of thing you can think of, but nobody ever does because it's annoying as fuck to play through.
And then you get the people who throw out a Pokemon with a multi-hit move like Gear Grind or Double Kick, and you're fucked.
Plus, taking all the risk out of a Nuzlocke is like... Well, it's defeating the purpose of the challenge. If your Pokemon can't die, then you may as well play the regular game. It's likely to be a whole lot less annoying then, anyway.
^ That's why I'm ignoring the advice Reddit gave to train everybody to Level 60
Although I may use Sturdy-Stall to defeat Hydreigon. Carracosta + Six Curses (or as many as I can get off, anyways...) + Sturdy Stall
I'll likely use that as a last resort though
But honestly, if his Hydreigon defeats a level 64 Hydreigon, then there's something going horribly wrong
Yes, if that happens, something went horribly wrong.
Oh, what is the best place to grind for the E4?
Because the Audino north of Opelucid are going to have to start dying by the dozens for one level up soon enough
The best way to grind is to trade it over to me and let me grind it, as then I get the Traded EXP boost.
Alternately, suffer, because that's the best you'll be able to do.
Feels kind of cheap to trade my Pokemon over
As then I'm not sure if they survived or if they died and you didn't feel like telling me (...although in my Nuzlocke's lore, my character saved the life of his Zoroark by "releasing" him just as a fatal hail was about to kill him, causing him to survive, so technically it would still be within this Nuzlocke's lore but bleh)
This way, I know whether or not they died
...*sighs* 13 levels of Zweilous, here I come (at least I have a rare candy, so I can skip that final level...)
At least I only have to train 6 of the Pokemon, instead of all... 11/12 I think is the count now, as there's nothing after Ghetsis. The Nuzlocke is done (I was originally going to go until I beat Alder in Elite Four Round 2, then faced a level 100 Arceus in a wifi battle, but fuck that)
That's why I offered a more serious suggestion.
I would be fighting a Level 41 Emolga and Altaria over and over and over again. I'm not sure how it could die.
^ My Pokemon have a tendency to do that
Die, that is
Look, my Level 47 tanked a critical Dragon Pulse from that Altaria. I don't see how a higher-leveled Zweilous even could die.
But again, the suggestion wasn't really serious anyway, because I know you're Nuzlockeing and that's generally frowned upon.
^ My Pokemon still find a way
I have no fucking idea how, but they do
Hey, Audinos are hardcore, man.
Went to the challenge rock to get cash
Turns out there was a trainer with a level 16 Timburr there I never faced
My level 51 Samurott is at the front of my party
Guess who won that fight?
The Timburr?
^ Knowing my luck with the Timburr line, that isn't as bad of a guess as it might seem...
>.> Timburr line is my Gen V Miltank
Ok, so my E4 Team will be Hydreigon, Stoutland, Cofagrigus, Scrafty, Carracosta, and either Maractus or Darmanitan
Which of these two is better? Both are level 50 at the time of this post
