Well, it was obvious that the café lady took pains to consider him a proper customer on equal footing with everyone else. And the two boys had trouble dealing with ignoring the glaringly obvious "robotness" of said customer.
Finally got around to watching Episode 10 of JoJo's. Joseph is wonderful.
And Fresh Precure has managed to make me tear up with a tender moment at the end of episode 6.
So let's move onto episode 7, shall w--wait what the **** is going on? Why am I seeing other Precure teams in the intro segment? Was it always like this?
And here comes Setsuna Higashi. Here it begins.
That happens every time there's a movie out from a morning Toei series. That's probably promotion for the first All Stars movie.
Truer words have never been spoken.
Finally finished Kaiba.
In a word: YES.
In more words: This is the kind of show that is best watched with a decent background in '60s science-fiction, particularly the kind that emphasises the implications of technology over its real-world plausibility - the Ellison/Dick/Anderson school of SF, in other words. That said, even failing this, an open mind, a fondness for weird but clever ideas and perhaps a fondness of odd love stories are all you really need to enjoy the plot here... which does, admittedly, get a bit all-over-the-place by the end, although it's still really enjoyable.
And sad. Really sad. Funny, too, in a quirky way, and occasionally shocking - episode two is just whacked - but... yeah. If you're a sap like me, you will cry.
The visuals are very '60s as well, in both the Tezuka and psychedelic senses. Very bubbly, very colourful, very trippy. Like an old kids' show on peyote. It's gorgeous.
So, basically, watch this.
Oh, and hi, y'all. I'm at the library. My home internet connection is kaput. Just thought you should know.
I think someone was looking for you, like a few days ago.
DYRE, I don't want to just watch a Let's Play of VLR for a few reasons.
1) I like having it in my hands, to experience for myself
2) The challenge and the story, at my own pace.
Starting to look a bit crowded there KyoAni...
So, uh, the latest Naruto chapter.
If I'm not mistaken, Inoichi and Shikaku were just killed off.
... Ouch.
Vividred Operation's Aoi is adorable, but the PVs still end with creepy panty shots...
Sunrise and Mecha? This will either be awesome or terrible, there are never any in-betweens.
And yet more mecha. With this and Urobuchi's new mecha show, we're (well, I'm) going to see quite a bit of mecha next year.
So it was all going well until that last moment of the commercial.
But those are shorts!
WHEEEEEEEEEEE MECHAS! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
@ Majestic Prince anime: Why the fuck is Hisashi Hirai still getting jobs?
Wait, this is a Mecha show with Hirai character design and DARKNESS? Wasn't Fafner enough?
Wait, no, this seems to be written by the K-On guy... so it's more Gundam SEED Destiny.
Where did you get Urobuchi from, though?
This, presumably.
Also, possibly this, too though I don't know if it'll end up being mecha.
Oh, I fail at reading comprehension.
EVEN MORE VIVIDRED. It's getting really hard to watch these PVs and not be put off forever now.
Also, the yuri, I can already feel it.
^^The first. Feels... retraux for some reason.
His character designs are inoffensive and stylish?
Fafner was okay...
Ayahi Takagaki is in a show I had no intentions of watching, but it looks interesting enough. I'll decide when I see a PV or two.
^ Wait...why have I seen this PV before?
Also, what shows has Hisashi Hirai character-designed for?
Notably? Infinite Ryvius, S.Cry.ed and Gundam SEED in its many iterations.
I was just going to say every show that looks exactly like Gundam SEED.
Hey, if anything, they all look exactly like Ryvius.
I've seen the first few eps of that. After having it on my list for over two years now.
Thing is that I want to take that show seriously and give it a very thoroughly watching, paying attention to all the details and stuff, and...the opportunity to do that doesn't happen very often.
It's a good show, you should watch it with or without detailed analysis.
But if I watch it without, I might miss the full emotional impact of the show by, say, not recognizing certain characters at key moments.
The OP and ED are gorgeous though. Especially the OP. I'm listening to it in my head right now.
His character designs are inoffensive and stylish?
Stylish? They're ugly as hell. That, and he's got a massive dose of sameface going on. Behold.
