    Alien is one of my favorite movies. I've never saw Aliens, but I'm not too interested in it. If I wanted the aliens as generic mooks, I'd play AvP 2.

    In fact, if they haven't been so mookified by the various sequels and adaptations, I'd probably enjoy it even more. The alien was never completely shown in the first movie and it seemed like an unstoppable killer, an immense threat. But after that it seemed to suffer a massive decay. I can only imagine how it was to see Alien in a cinema for the first time 1979, without that popculture saturation.

    So driving my sister to her boarding school we stopped at a supermarket to get her stuff for her dorm. I take the food to the check-out aisle while she goes to the bathroom.

    There's a cute lady with really nice hair and I start talking to her and unless I was really misreading her she was flirting with me.

    Just as I am about to respond, my sister comes in and greets her. Turns out she's one of my sister's upperclassmen.

    Why does this keep happening?

    I'm pretty sure that 99% of the time someone claims something is the best ____ ever, they haven't been around the medium much.

    This is why I didn't split my cartoons category into Japanese and Western animation when we had the favourites thread.
