@ObiJuanKenobi: It says Juan_Carlos is still a member.

    "That's done."

Wait, did you delete that from the Activity page too?
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    i'm so confused

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    ^^That's because I already did it :P

Yeah. Because I figured if he wanted us to delete the first change, I might as well hit the second too.
  • No rainbow star
HOLY-I THOUGHT FORZARE'S AVATAR WAS THE AMERICAN GODZILLA!
  • You can change. You can.
Basically, I asked INUH to ban the shit out of me because I needed a break. Things haven't been going well at home, I was sick and I just needed a break from everything. This place was also actively frustrasting me because all I saw was either stupidity either provided by me or many others, and etc etc etc

So I thought I'd leave for good. But then, I realized a couple of things on reflection this afternoon about seecond chances and stuff and decided to give you guys one last shot.

So, either fail forever or fly, bitches.

Don't leave, Juan. :( You're one of the people I actually like here!

If it helps at all, we've weeded out a significant amount of bad users, and there are very few people left at all, period.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Also the drama seems to have passed which is a plus.
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
^ Yeah. Even with SotiCoto around for a couple days, there was a surprising lack of pyrotechnics.

You're misunderstanding. There are always going to be bad users. And there have been a lot here. That was not why I left. I left because I started to feel the good users were getting on my nerves.

^ Yeah. Even with SotiCoto around for a couple days, there was a surprising lack of pyrotechnics.

I admit I lurked expecting a big shitstorm leading to a ban, but meh. it was just a ban and that was it.
  • "Yeah. Even with SotiCoto around for a couple days, there was a surprising lack of pyrotechnics."

His presence was more like a suffocating mist that swallowed everything good in the air and melted it.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
In fact, I'm sorta disappointed in myself for not kicking up a shitstorm over Soti's behaviour. I mean, that was obviously for the better, but still.
  • You can change. You can.
I demand we allow him back so I can get my shitstorm. >:|
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
And he can still read the forum, although he can't reply.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^^And here I was complimenting people for not reacting to his silliness.

He was my hatecrush, after all.

I was rather proud of myself for not getting overly annoyed.

Of course, that just looped me right around to being joyful that he was gone, so it wasn't really any better judging by my behaviour, but OK.

Just watched the Doctor Who finale.

...I'm a bit disappointed that "the Question" was so predictable.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I'm surprised the Doctor never made a 'give me head' joke.
  • You can change. You can.
So, all things considered, I loved this season finale, and even though it means a new age of non-God Doctor (Which is, after all, the Doctor that got me into the show), I'm still interested in what's coming ahead.
also, hurr durr, regeneration season coming up ahead.
Gotta admit, the solution to the Doctor's death is so beautiful in its simplicity I couldn't feel but grin.

I still feel I would have been far more comfortable with a two parter. The pacing here is rather lightning quick. And Cowboy Doctor was awesome, too.

Also, the Question...ho ho, I wonder how will Moffat deal with that one. Who is the Doctor?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Well, sometimes the fast pace helped to give the weird ideas and keep them novel. Live chess couldn't have been any longer really, but some other points I agree. I think A Good Man Goes to War would have benefited from being a two-parter.

I think it shouldn't be a surprise that I like the doctor being more low-key and more about having adventures in time and space.
  • You can change. You can.
I dunno. I honestly think it's because I feel that Smith actually managed to do a dying Doctor right. That's something Tennant failed at. And welp, we got two parts out of Ten dying.

I demand Eleven parts of Two dying.

    wait

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
You'll need to provide him with a recorder first.

Also, keep in mind the two parts of Ten die were dragged the fuck out. No thanks.
  • You can change. You can.
I honestly didn't see the End of Time being particularly dragging besides dat epilogue.

And well, let's face it, Moffat knows how to write a two parter. The season premiere was pretty much the most exciting romp Doctor Who had had in at least three seasons, in my opinion.

Also, I just felt the Silence and Madame Kovarian deserved to be more than just "Those dudes who want to kill the Doctor", but whatever, I suppose. I guess that'd be asking for a exposition scene that really doesn't matter except to please my personal need for fleshed out universes.
  • It caught me by surprise to be honest,

    I should've realized, but I didn't since I was caught up!

    Curse you Moffat!!!
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I'm agreeing that the end would have benefitted from a two parter. We could have cut out the God Complex and been none the poorer for it.

I just feel The End of Time is a real bad example. It's slow, it's joyless, it's all about 'death' in a way it shouldn't be, and it features nothing I liked about Tennant as the doctor as an actor.

And I'd say there are lots of points that drag, such as the Doctor's long-ass speech about how he'd never use a gun only to pick it up to artificially inflate the Rassilion's threat, the scene where he can't decide who to shoot, and the scenes where the doctor mopes over 'dying'.
  • I always feel weird because I rarely have anything to say about the shows I like (like Doctor Who). It kinda feels like I just go off other people's opinions instead of forming my own.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^Try actively looking for things that you like or dislike next time you watch it.
  • You can change. You can.
I actually liked The God Complex. It does touch on some thematical aspects of the season, like The Doctor leading a life he didn't want to lead anymore and all that as well as appreciating the little things in life rather than the big battles and all that, which was, you know, the objective of the season.

I think the season could have done without The Curse of the Black Spot. Sure, it does touch on the whole family theme which is indeed the prevalent theme of the season, but Night Terrors does it far better and more efficiently.

I just feel The End of Time is a real bad example. It's slow, it's joyless, it's all about 'death' in a way it shouldn't be, and it features nothing I liked about Tennant as the doctor as an actor.

Maybe it's because I liked Tennant's ability to actually act like a hero rather than Smith's space hobo, but...yeah, I actually liked him in the End of Time. At least, when he rides into Earth screaming Allons-y and when he tells Wilf with one silent look that he knows he was going to "die".

AS for the scenes. Well, we all knew that the Doctor wasn't going to shoot anyone, still putting him in that dilemma seemed interesting to me. I dunno

I know it's a bad episode, badly plotted and all that, but I already said this before and I stand by the fact that I actually enjoyed the End of Time.

And angsty Ten wasn't really that much of a bother to me, either, but I think that might have something to do with the fact that I enjoy the works of a certain Whedon.
