Greg looks over at Ray, confused. "What? Polka-dotted? Why?"
Ray nodded. "Greg, I believe Charles is right." and trust me that's a rare occasion. "You do seem to have psychic powers." he then glared at Charles. "We'll deal with you in a moment."
"I think I would have noticed that by now. Seriously, this really isn't the time for pranks."
Jackie was torn between renewed irritation at Charles's bullheaded revelation, and being confused at Greg's news. She settled for a frumpy face and a closed mouth.
Ray sighed. "Greg I'm deathly serious. Nobody else knows the comment you heard." he said. "Go ahead. Ask the others what the last pokemon I was thinking of was."
Greg looks over at Charles.
Then he sighs and nods "You're right...I guess..."
"Either that, or I really am going crazy."
"We'll if you're going mad you're in good company." Ray said lightly. "Charles, I don't know how to stress this but stay with us. If you don't care about your or our safety at least consider the safety of your pokemon. Going on a suicide mission isn't going to help anyone."
He then looked up at Ray. "You're going to have Greg read my mind all the time now, aren't you?"
Seems like a hell of an idea.
"Right now, I'd really like to not read people's minds."
"Would you really blame me?" Ray felt a Dragonite-size headache coming on. "We've wasted enough time. Let's go. In the mean time, Greg, see what you can do to control your abilities. No offense, but I'm sure we all we all have thoughts we'd rather you weren't privy to." then he spared a look at Charles. "Though some are more innocuous than others."
"...Oddly I've never had need of that trick. I wonder why?"
He continued to climb
Greg taps the side of his head a couple of times as if fumbling for an off switch, then keeps moving, counting in his head to try (unsuccessfully, for now) to block out the thoughts.
I wonder indeed. As they came to the way up to the dark cavern, Ray turned to Jackie. "If you wouldn't mind taking the front, madam?"
Greg looks over at Charles. "Right, thanks, I'd really rather not know."
"Sure thing, sir." Though I kinda wish I had a proper weapon now.
"I don't know!"
At this point it was obvious, more than ever, that Charles can have a one track mind
"Holy crap, Greg! Are you okay?" Goodn--sorryyyyy. I'm sorry. Jackie kept walking.
I am my thoughts... if Greg has access to my thoughts then Greg becomes me and I cease to exist.... Ray mused as he followed behind Jackie, all the while keeping his mind concerned on the task at hand, mysteries, and philosophical musing so his mind didn't wander to... less savory things.
Greg closes his eyes and starts counting under his breath.
Greg is still counting, but now taking deep breaths between numbers. It's not working.
Kevi wonders where everyone is going :V
Ray was determinedly staring at at the back of Jackie's head as they walked on. This whole 'not thinking thing' was pretty hard. I wonder how Jackie's doing it.... not to imply Jackie isn't thinking or doesn't think I mean she is quite lovely but she does seem to pursue physical exploits over mental ones... blast, Greg don't you dare tell her.
