Alright, so I'll eliminate Snagger then, especially since the illegalness may cause the other party members to really get pissed with Charles

So that leaves going for Ranger Ace Trainer Special Ops, Ranger Ace Trainer Signer, or Ranger Special Ops Captain =/

EDIT: Ouch. 15 Charisma and 18 Dexterity needed to become a Special Ops. With modifiers and bonuses... That's 5 more Charisma needed and 6 more Dexterity needed (Ranger gives a +1 boost), so that would require, to get it as fast as possible, 6 levels, with all feats taken to boost either Charisma or Dexterity
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    Ranger/Ace/Special Ops looks cool.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I think it's clear Ranger-Detective is the ultimate option for my character. I might mix it with Researcher-Professor for variety, though.

^ You could go Ranger - Detective - Captain you know and boss me around. Rangers cannot disobey Captains no matter what apparently :P

...Or I could go that route and boss you around if you don't go that route :P
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Not sure if I want to be the party 'leader' but looking at the group it's either Carrie or me that will end up that way...
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I'm okay with Carrie being the leader, and I'm okay with her not being the leader.

    Co-leaders, maybe?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Hmmm, probably something like that would work the most.

I think it'd be best to see where things fall in-character.

Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
    Yep. Agreed.
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    :V

Not much to do unless you guys like, look around and stuff :V
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
We went up the stairs. I figured we were waiting for you to tell us what's up there...>.>

    I lol'd.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Hell yeah, Enigma Stone. I like where this is going so far.
  • No rainbow star
Huh. Breeders can take advanced classes that let them make TMs or allow them to evolve their Pokemon OR an allies Pokemon even if they are lacking elemental stones/held items/not in the right area/etc., and with the Evolver advanced class they can even evolve their Pokemon early or make an enemy Pokemon devolve
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
If the rest of you aren't aware, the Enigma Stone is an event item letting you summon...some legendary. I forget.

    A Lati if I recall

...:< I want to catch the Lati...

    I think it's Latios/Latias IIRC.

    ninja'd

    No catching the legendaries.  :V

More seriously, how do legendaries work in this game?  Is it more like the anime, where they're basically gods/demigods, and catching them screws things up, or is it more like the games where they're more just really strong Pokemon?

^ As far as I can tell, you CAN catch legendaries...

...It's just that challenging them is akin to suicide and not recommended :<
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
IIRC, it specifies for Arceus at least that if you catch him, it's because he's okay with that.

Which is why Carrie wants to meet some legendaries and become bros. :P

Ah, Potions do NOT work on humans:

    Potions:
Potions are a useful way for Trainers to keep their Pokemon in fighting shape without needing to
return to a pokemon center every single time they run into an angry wild pokemon. Potions are sold in small, one time use spray bottles that when sprayed on a pokemon, sterilize and heal wounds. Potions are meant for Pokemon use. When used on humans, it will sterilize a wound, but it cannot repair damage tissue and seal wounds. If the entire bottle of Potion isn’t used, it cannot take effect on the pokemon.
200 Potion Heals 10+1d12 HP when used.
300 Super Potion Heals 20 +1d12 HP when used.
450 Hyper Potion Heals 30+2d12 HP when used.
800 Max Potion Heals a pokemon to their Max HP.
1250 Full Restore Heals a pokemon to their Max HP and eliminates any Status Afflictions.
350 Ether Restores a Battle or Center Frequency Move for another use.
750 Elixir Restores all Battle and Center Frequency Moves for more uses.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Ray wants to meet Legendaries, not to challenge them, but to learn their secrets.

    BECAUSE KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

No peeking, but there are special rules for Legendaries.

Most of the time, it's recommended that you stay the fuck away from Legendaries. If you do find one, try your best not to offend it, because fuck they're powerful.

Charles would like to battle Legendaries and possibly capture them, but he mostly wants to just prove his strength to them

Hmm... I wonder what would happen if anybody found a Manaphy egg?

Speaking of which, do Phione count as Legendaries in this?

EDIT: ^ Ah. So I WAS right about the suicidal part

So I'm guessing to catch one, you had better either have a Master Ball or else be on good terms with it so that if you do lose the battle it won't kill you

EDIT 2: Hang on, how hard is it for a Ranger to befriend a legendary and not get butchered for a failed attempt? Because depending on the difficulty, I see a loop hole
