I was offered once. I turned it down on the grounds that I would immediately ban a majority of the userbase.

If I were a Mod, I would ban everyone ever, for any comment or any sort of inkling of a comment.

I would change the status of every poster here to the banned forever role, and then I would finance the site by hosting it on another site and advertising more people to join... just so I have more people to ban.

I would use my position as a mod to attain that same status as a mod on other sites, just so I can force the posters for those forums to join this site to fuel the ban-rampage-fetish I have.

by the end of the day, most IP addresses will be banned, and then when I'm done, I'll ban myself, having literally no one left to ban.
