    Find the terri-bad ones and flag them for clean-up or outright removal if necessary.

    My point is simple, though. If you don't give a damn and hate it so

    thread and you had to bring it up again just to criticize such
    conversations. It's rather silly...

    That may be, but what does this have to do with this thread? I only made one comment to the topic, without bringing up anything, from which the thread moved away. Neither did I bitch over and over again nor did I re-derail the thread. I don't see how a simple mention of my opinions justifies a mindless pseudo-reply.

    These guys are assholes with at most a thousand and a half views per video. We should in no way pander to them. And given that they've used the wayback machine to look at Troper Tales we did delete, even if we did, it wouldn't matter.

    That's what made me so angry.  That kind of behaviour is eerily reminiscent of bullying.  Lucky wasn't bothered because he's not the type to get bothered by something like that, at least not anymore, but their intent was, well, it doesn't appear to have been pleasant.  And Meaty legitimately had issues.

    I wonder if Meaty's seen that video?

    After reading this thread, I'm really glad all the threads on Meaty's ban are gone. The more I hear about these guys, the more I get the feeling they wouldn't be above putting something like that in one of their videos, and that would be on a whole new level of horrible from this.

    I think they're aware they're being cruel, TT was okay because it's mostly anonymous, and I found that funny. I don't think the tropers they picked on are beyond criticism, but if you're going to criticise someone, just tell them, even if you still want to be harsh with it. What they're essentially doing is creating a bridge between us, like putting people in a zoo or freak show.

    ^^ Yeah, that is kind of troubling, isn't it?  It's sorta like poking your nose into other people's business.  It's a lack of respect for privacy.

    I didn't mind so much when it was just Troper Tales because, you know, we made fun of them as well.  Then they turned their attention to the forums and, well, it wouldn't be accurate to say I approved, and heaven forbid that reading things verbatim in silly voices be regarded as quality satire, but it is the mark of a good satire that the lens doesn't discriminate, and sends up everything it's pointed at.  It was kind of like a reminder that, "yeah, before you get all high and mighty, you're not so different, guys!"  Whereas targetting individuals doesn't do that, because it makes it personal.

    So I guess I was pretty naïve in assuming that they had any intent beyond "let's all point and laugh at the nerds".
