    TVTropes gets mocked for a lot of things. I don't see that as a good reason to completely remove those things. If these guys were launched out of SA, they would have had plenty of other things to make videos about without Troper Tales, as their invasion thread made clear.

    Bleh, I advocate for TT's deletion because they are useless and all that, but that's not the point there and it's honestly kinda foolish to think that if they didn't mock TT, they wouldn't have moved on to the forums.

    I completely agree with Bobby's feeling. I think that picking on specific poster is just crossing the Rubicon.

    I'm not trying to say that there isn't creepy, whiny, self-aggrandizing bullshit on some of the Troper Tales pages, but I only know that because people have taken the time to point the worst examples out to me.

    Hell, even the This Troper videos jump around the pages to find the worst possible examples they can, skipping large sections of content to paint a certain picture.

    Going by that, someone without prior knowledge could think our right-side forums are exactly the same, and that we would thus be better off without them.

    Well, the ones who want to do something about it want to abolish it. But it seems Fast Eddie is sick of the discussions.

    Personally, I couldn't care less what happens to Troper Tales. And it's removal won't repair TV Tropes reputation, the damage is already done. But seeing all the circular discussions over and over again is incredibly annoying.

    Carpet ban anyone who uses the term "this troper," or uses personal pronouns outside of quotation marks. Redirect said banned people to a shock site that has graphic depictions of cancer with the words "THIS TROPE THIS TROPER THIS TROPER" written in sparkly letters over the images if they complain. Unban them after they sign a petition to act like rational contributors instead of the reigning kings of cock-whorishness.

    My point is simple, though. If you don't give a damn and hate it so much, then why keep exposing yourself to it. I noticed a particular moment where we had moved on from a TT derail on the "Bad entries" thread and you had to bring it up again just to criticize such conversations. It's rather silly...

    No there's still some pretty bad stuff on Troper Tales, they just find the worst of the worst.  I think the plainswalkers feel that the mentality of the people writing creepy shit is "BOOHOO NO ONE LIKES ME SO I'LL VENT ON THE INTERNET WHERE PEOPLE WILL ACCEPT MY CREEPY PERSONALITY!" instead of realizing "hey, maybe if I didn't act like a jackass in public people might like me?"
