    Yeah, basically

ITT: Ica conclusively demonstrates that porn scenarios, when they happen in real life, are actually just horribly awkward.

Anyway, watching Lost. Near the end of Season 1. They are using that "something important was just revealed" music cue a lot.

^ Best part was the laughing too much to be able to actually feel embarrassed. If it was in person, then I wouldn't have been able to laugh and guh...

Somehow I don't think I'm going to the Smithsonian tomorrow.

    ^ Why?

  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human

Because it's 2 AM now, I have to leave here at 10:30 AM for that event, it has an uncertain end time estimated at 5 PM (though I might be able to push it earlier), and I need to have written comments on some readings for a Tuesday class by 6 PM on Monday...and I haven't done the readings yet.

I also need to take a shower now.

Well, at least I've heard that the Art of Video Games exhibition isn't that great.  And as far as I know, I'm not going with anyone, so it's gonna be kinda boring...

Is it true that for comic companies like Marvel and DC the products that truly turn a profit for them are adaptations (ie anything other than comics) of their properties, like merchandise, games and movies? Comics only net like a couple hundred thousand readers while millions go see their movies and buy their stuff.

    EDIT: Spelling, what's that? :P

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Is this a university you're attending?

    I work there.

  • You can change. You can.

Technically true but also technically false. While a title sells little over 100.000, the fact that so many titles get produced for so little money means that the a company gains a lot more than you'd think.

Well, I just found out a virtual pet website I go on is morally bankrupt, blatantly cheating using glitches that would get non staff banned, going into banned accounts and raiding them of stuff, fun things like that

I started this weekend with high hopes, looking forward to getting my Monday-due readings done early, getting some other work done, shifting my sleeping schedule earlier, having three fun things to do on Sunday and Monday, and more.

And it's all going to shit.

^^ Forgot to mention they also pressure little kids into sending money to them. That's a low blow

I want to blame my parents for suddenly coming over and throwing all my plans into disarray.

There's something they want to do in the area--it has to do with all of us, though exactly who's in charge of it isn't particularly clear sometimes--and so they came down here to visit me, bring me some food and a crockpot, and try to do something with this activity.

Said activity has already been the source of some drama, since it affects me greatly, but my parents control its financing, and my mom, my dad, and I all have different ideas regarding it, so it's been hard to come to consensus about it.  I'm pretty sick of dealing with it, especially now that school has started, though I also recognize that it's something important, which makes it hard for me to figure out how much I really ought to care about it.

So that was part of the reason they came.  My mom also brought with her the crockpot and started cooking stuff in it...while I'm still not sure how to fit it into my only-just-recently-barely-stabilized idea of how to properly feed myself using only a microwave, a rice cooker, a sink, and a fridge (and utensils of course)...and on a tight budget.  I'd just come up with a relatively low-maintenance, low-mental-RAM way of dealing with that.  So the stability I had in mind was totally thrown for a loop, and suddenly I had to decide quickly whether to accept this new thing how to implement this new thing into my barely-established plan, or at least, how to phase out this disturbance from that plan.

While I'm still not too sure of my ability to handle my workload.  Just now I realized I derped by completely missing an e-mail from a professor a few days ago.

And on top of that they want me to quickly make some decisions about the aforementioned activity--even though it's not even clear what criteria I should use to make those decisions, what factors I should or shouldn't account for.  I feel that my dad, my mom, and I each have our own perspective on this issue, and we're not very close to agreement...yet I'm supposed to give my input on a decision, and it's HARD to give input on a decision unbiasedly when you know all too well what's going to happen depending on what you say.

Because it's a long roadtrip for them, though, they are also very time-conscious of the time they have to spend here, and are also pressuring me every step of the way to speed things up more quickly.  All this time I'm trying to set my ducks in order regarding my semester's scheduling and then finally get started on homework, while also wondering whether I'm doing too many activities or whether I can handle the workload or whether I should just give up and get myself a mealplan or etc. etc. etc..

Then we went shopping and my mom decided that it'd be a good idea to have me try something entirely new with the crockpot (which she's only ever rarely used herself).  On top of adding the new device (crockpot) to my arrangements now I'm going further in as a test subject for a new method too.

And I spent the day with a runny nose for whatever reason.  That just made everything worse, of course.

I'm still feeling a combination of irritation, frustration, and sadness right now.

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I really do not want to wait a year for the last eight episodes of Breaking Bad.
  • I'm a damn twisted person

I don't have a choice man. I just have the series on Netflix and I'm too lazy to pirate it.

    Ouch.

Well, I have my new phone all set up, but the old one hasn't stopped working yet, so I'll have to wait for that before I can do actual phone stuff with it.

In other news, I've stumbled upon a 4 hour and 20 minute long (420 all day erryday) compilation of dubstep drops. It's pretty cool.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

Finished Season 1 of lost. The cliffhanger was actually kind of stupid; they should have put that a bit earlier and ended the episode with Walt getting kidnapped.

That said, I'm quite liking the show so far. Knowing that they made it up as they went does make it a little less enjoyable, but not to the extent I expected.

  • Kichigai birthday!!

Why are the Paralympic games always more entertaining than the main ones? Seriously, I've lost count on how many world records have they broken today

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

So, anyone know any good Android apps/games?

  • CU, check out any Kairosoft games. They'll suck up your time like no other. Also,

I really do not want to wait a year for the last eight episodes of Breaking Bad.

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

Games: Radiant, MiniSquadron, anything in the Humble Android Bundles

Apps: Dolphin browser, the flashlight apps, Beautiful Widgets, the Steam mobile app, Postman Spam Blocker. Swype, Netflix, Skype, a QR Scanner, a Weather app if you don't already have it, and Yelp.

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

I really like the Dark Knight Rises tablet game, mostly because it plays like a mini Arkham City.

The Amazing Spider-man game is actually better than the movie.

Not much of an accomplishment but still.
