  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

The thing is, Norton doesn't really work right even when nothing's going wrong. It often assumes things are viruses when they aren't. I've seen screenshots of it identifying itself as a virus, then freaking out because it couldn't delete itself.

  • I hear Norton is less bad these days.

That is not a hard accomplishment. At least it never marker crucial windows processes as malware causing untold amounts of issues, that I remember.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

So, the home button on my iPhone was stuck. I tried a few fixes I found online, and they sort of partially worked but not really. I finally managed to fix it by -- I am not joking -- blowing really hard into the charging port.

    a little muffled

Hey, is anyone here getting Guild Wars 2? I didn't preorder, but there's a good chance I'll buy it next week, and I remember there had been some interest on IJBM...ages and ages ago.

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

My older brother is trying to convince me that stuff on Ancient Aliens is true. I'm trying to come up with some kind of elaboration on that, but I think that sentence speaks for itself.

  • You can change. You can.

    But

how do you explain swords, alex

are you pretending that swords are not alien

Also if I ever get to write Batman, I’d exile Bruce Wayne and have him fight for Wayne Enterprises in a rag-to-riches story because why not.

And that is why you never want me to write Batman.

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

^I'm surprised that hasn't been done before.

^^What does your brother's hair look like?

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

    ^^ no they're magic doofus

^ Suspiciously normal, against all odds.

  • But you never had any to begin with.

Bah, everyone knows that swords are crafted in the pits of the underworld by the eternally damned, with parts of the eternally damned, and tempered by the screams of the eternally damned.

  • You can change. You can.

^I'm surprised that hasn't been done before.

Well, technically speaking, it happens fairly often, but it's never really fully dealt with. It's more like "Bruce Wayne is drugged and kicked onto the streets until he becomes a maniac who talks with the voices in his head".

And the media never really goes "Where's Bruce Wayne?" because Alfred has such wonderful alibis as "He's just having an orgy with the Russian Ballet company. And yes, it has been two weeks since he started."

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Swords are never forged! they are crystilized miracles.

Like Excalibur is made of the hopes of warriors to be exalted.

  • You can change. You can.

    you guys

you're looking at this the wrong way

The Lady In The Lake? Alien.

    Merlin? Alien.

    Alex? Alien.

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

    Alex? Alien.

He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

well, you won't escape, Alien scum! Not if I UNDERSTAND you with my GIANT ROBOT!

  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!

^No, I got this xeno. Back off.

  • You can change. You can.

guys he only just wanted to bring us peace and swords

why must you chase the alien

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

(shoves Alex into my bicycle basket and rides off)

He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

You guys don't UNDERSTAND! The 00 Qan-[T] is a robot equipped with a gigantic beam sword capable of slicing through the moon. And it has the functionality of making people and aliens UNDERSTAND each other.

  • I'm a damn twisted person

Man can't we just get more giant robots that are content to sing about shit and try to give everybody a happy ending?

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Robots and singing? Macross shall be purged from everyone's memories!

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

On a side note, I wish there was more stuff that mixed horror and romance.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

What is there that mixes horror with romance?

  • I'm a damn twisted person

Shot in the dark but I'm going to say Malk is talking about Mirai Nikki.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

That's not horror. That's gore. And a thriller.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

Also Goth which is another manga.  Audition also did it but the horror and romance are on opposite sides of the room there. Catherine gave it a shot but that game's as scary as a sunday picnic.

Trying to think of any western examples.

    Also no genre pedantry plz.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    thriller

Great, now I have to resist the urge to rant about how horribly-defined the so-called "thriller" genre is even by the standards of genre definitions.

    Also no genre pedantry plz.

Dammit, Malk, why did you have to ninja me? T_T

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Let's use better wording, It's a gore, suspense, action story, where the romance is there to add to the suspense.

Let the Right One In is a western example of a horror/romance, no?
