I used to get pretty excited when I saw PMs, but now I just think "oh, it's probably INUH or GMH posting about another user application".
PMs normally scare the shit out of me before I check them and it turns out it's just someone asking me about comicshit
^^Yeah, I used to do that, but I eventually got used to it due to lots and lots of PMs.
IJBM: I have three different writing-ish projects I'm working on and trying to get off the ground. And I'm sorta progressing on all of them, but...:/
Leave two of them and focus on one.
^^Hey, at least you managed to get a fair amount of Nil written and posted.
^I don't wanna T_T
Oh, yeah, now that it's summer and I don't have much to do, I should try to get back into writing.
Incidentally, when I say "writing-ish," only one of them's a fiction project. Another's a TRPG, and the last is that in-depth game reviewing thing I mentioned the other day.
Well, tough!
i started it over a year ago and I've still only got thirty thousand words
and I go months between writing chapters
and I still haven't gotten to implement the ideas that actually got me excited to write something in the first place yet
I mean, when I actually sit down and write, I can bang out two or three thousand words in a couple hours. And I enjoy it. I love the process of creation. But I have a ridiculous amount of trouble getting myself to start.
Fair enough. But you've done more on it than I ever have on any of my projects, so that's something.
Oh, yeah, I just remembered. I've been working on a homebrew Pokemon Tabletop Adventures setting (well, only its gym leaders so far, though there's one in particular that I'm glad I made), and I'm wondering if I should write a supplementary story.
Huh, that does sound pretty interesting.
Does it have its own set of Pokemon?
Hrrn. I've considered going on and continue that story I began a while back but the thing is, I don't think I really like writing that much. At least, fiction. I do like writing reviews. That's fun.
i guess
Nah. I don't think I could pull that off.
^^^My problem is that I love thinking of fiction but have trouble putting it in a presentable form.
^I was mostly joking ;P
I think I've received like, five PM's in months. it's pretty sad.
Mostly because I stopped PM'ing people because lol PM'ing mods but whatever
^^ I sorta figured, given the emoticon, but uh, yeah.
I might write out a climactic point in the series for the sake of writing something.
:c
Say there are two spies who want to communicate with each other. So they make an email address with one of those big web service things, and share the passwords. They send each other messages by saving said message in the "drafts" folder, whilst never sending it.
Would that work?
Um....well, it's still stored on the same server, but it would be slightly more secure than just sending the messages, I guess.
-shrug-
Same reason I don't e-mail my teacher for non-school related reasons, same reason I don't chat to my old teacher over Facebook. It just feels really weird to PM a mod, as they have authority over me.
I did try a few days ago, PM'ing Alex. But nope, just led to me feeling anxious the entire day, which led to me sucking harder at discussion than ever before.
My problem is that I know my ideas can lead to cool (or at least things I consider cool) allegories and stuff, but I can't get past my own preferences in form and presentation (And my inability to execute them)
blankposter, duh
