IJBM: if my parents and I are watching a movie and I walk out on it since I don't like it, they will later spend about 30-45 minutes telling me every little detail about it.
^Wait, is that still updating?
And now you are seeing why most webcomics fail.
I don't usually punch punch people (hard), but the one time I did, I was caught between feeling extremely bad and sorry and wanting to punch the person harder.
INUH: Yep, still updating
Nova: Not going to give up on it though. May end up having a few weeks in a row with lates, but dammit I'm going to make this thing work. Just needs me to work on it for... Something along the lines of 7-8 hours... A day... For several days straight to get a single comic done...
...Definitely seeing why Tim Buckley started out with copying and pasting where he could
So, um...where is it again? >.>
I will wait and see. If you're still going in a year with at least 100 pages done, then I'll say yup, you're good.
And people wonder why I feel sorry for guys like Alex Ross who actually paint their comics.
I'm too busy being in awe of him to feel sorry for him.
Well, true, but man, I read War on Crime and I'm like "Holy hell, this guy painted 151 pages. Like, actual watercolour work. Holy moly shit"
INUH: A bit of a mess right now. When I have 10 or so comics done, I plan to relink it here
Nova: Let's see here... two a week (god damned two point perspective and god damned cat character)... So 104... Yet I have a few lates...
Uh, I don't think I'll have at least 100 pages done in a year unless I manage to pull a three a week schedule, which I've already found that I can't do quite yet
I think the more important part is if I'm still going after a year and have managed to stick to the schedule enough that the comic can be reliably said to update on the days I say it does
Juan: How fast did he paint 151 pages?
Tis a mystery. Ross never did serial work. (Kingdom Come was finished before publishing as I understand)
Man, if I were an editor, I would feel like a horrible human being whenever talking to him.
Juan: Well, unless he's doing an inhuman amount of them, I could see it being possible. If you are used to a medium, it gets to be pretty easy after a while to pump out work
If I could just find a curve line tool plugin for Photoshop Elements 7, like the curve line tool in Microsoft Paint, then things would go faster (The main reasons the cat character takes so damn long: Hair, tail, and muzzle. The first two would go by a hell of a lot faster with a curve tool than my current method (Adjust brush width, angle, and size over and over again until I have it perfect. With the tail, I also have to place a ton of dot and make the curves match them as precisely as possible. Took me over an hour to do ONE tail >.<))
Man imagine writing an script for him. "Oh hey draw me this really complicated spaceship"
I'm not saying it's impossible, just that it's highly demanding.
I wonder if any other webcomic artists started out thinking, "...Well, at least I'm updating more often than VGCats"
And on that train of thought, I wonder how much shame webcomic artists who update less often than VGCats feel?
Interesting fact: Satan created airport procecures to make travelling lamer.
Man, I was dead set on learning German before learning a Chinese language, but the latter would be quite handy to have on a curriculum. I'm wondering if I should start learning Chinese, like, right now, if only to say that I'm learning it.
Bookmarked, thanks!
v Ahh, that'll come in handy, too. Thanks!
^ That reminds me:
I found this gem recently on another forum
Definitely going to improve my drawings
...And I just realized: If I ink my damn drawings, then that gives something dark enough compared to the rest of the page that outlining becomes just a case of selecting the inked portion... If that turns out correct, then I may have to hurt myself for being so stupid
...
Just woke up again.
Why must you be so far from where I live?
Tomorrow is the transit of Venus so its going to be cloudy I bet
poor worf
OK, I've recommended enough comics for a century or two. Now get on with it, fools or I'll murder all y'all.
no
come at me
well, it's like...your loss man.
I'll just go back to reading Batman fighting Gods and winning, if you'll excuse me.
Can't not interpret that as "Batman fighting Charlie Sheen".
Don cha know? Darkseid = Charlie Sheen, man
