I thought people liked that show?
must resist urge to begin live chat with Citibank representative in order to get help with school project
Are you sure you're not thinking of the 60s cartoon? I thought people thought well of the 90s one.
I thought people liked the 60s one because of the image macro fodder.
Maybe it was the 90s X-Men cartoon that was bad?
All I remember about the 90s cartoon is "SHOCKER! I'M GOING TO HUNT YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH", sub-par performances and the fact that they turned Electro into the son of the Red Skull.
Melodic as in moving notes and such, as opposed to chords? Or as in, the lead instrument? "Melodic" is pretty subjective. But either way, barring certain subgenres of both rock and metal, electric guitar is generally pretty prominent.
I'd say the difference is in influence, largely. Rock is influenced largely by the blues, and while some metal certainly carries that as well, it's got more to do with classical and various folk musics than the blues.
>Okay I'm watching the old 1994 Spider-man cartoon and it's supposed to be terrible, but so far I don't see what's so bad about besides lol ninties animation.
The animation is pretty bad, the pacing is terrible, the voice acting ranges from decent to awful, the action is dull to the fact that they wanted to keep it rated Y, and god the storylines. Their goddamn version of Secret Wars. Goddamn.
What was wrong with their Secret War arc? I barely remember it but it seemed...serviceable?
Man, it's been awhile but I remember rewatching it in college and thinking 'Good god this is so stupid.'
That feel when literally nothing on my iPod is from before 2001.
I loved it as a kid, my first outlet to spider-man's story, watching it nowdays it does seem pretty keen on mashing up storylines a lot.

My mp3 player has nothing but anime and videogame soundtracks.
Sadly, same here.
I don't have an mp3 player. About 2/3 of my music library is anime music though.
I do know what's Mister Roboto and Fleetwood Mac and Queen and all that old stuff. It's just that I get less guilt by storing the other type of music.
Mister Roboto's not a band you heathen monster!
>That feel when nothing on your computer's music library is from after 2001
i feel like the worst kind of hipster
the vintage kind
get out before you start wearing scarves and I have to ban you
And take your pre-damaged jeans with you. Or was that early 2000s?
oh wait, i have pescado original in here
right, i'm saved, if by a technicality
^more like early 90s, bro.
I have nothing recorded before 2001. A lot of it's stuff like Mozart and whatever, though.
I have Halestorm on my mp3 player. That makes me safe, I guess.
And Nightwish. And Krypteria. And Mastodon. And the new Van Halen album.
I was referencing a song, juan, I know it is not a band. Sorry for not saying Little Lies with fleerwood mac and bohemian rhapsody on queen.
I'm aware of what Mister Roboto is, man, it just seemed a little weird to list a song amongst bands.
Because I've heard more than one song of fleetwood mac and more than one song of queen, the same can't be said of Styx, sadly.
Finally, we share a musical opinion!
ahaha, you can't get more eighties than this
hell, the synth dude is like...actually trying to make the synth look cool
So I'm tired of the nuAvengers fans being anti-comics by saying it's a male-dominated industry.
They're right, of course it absolutely is.
But saying that while squeeing over the male characters of a male-dominated franchise that has been, written, produced, and directed by males is damn hypocritical.
