I've just seen Captain America, is it worth seeing Thor?
Yes. Thor is a pretty good movie.
I heard it's as Shakespearian as a superhero movie can get. Then again, it's a Kenneth Branagh flick.
So...got to college at 7:30 when the class and the test that came with it started at 7:00...And the professor denies the opportunity to start late so I got a 0 on a, what you call it, a midterm, in the fluids mechanics class! Which is the hardest this term! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! FML!
Thor's kinda neat, I guess, although I wouldn't say it's better than Captain America. It has some pacing issues and to be honest, it takes quite a while to get interesting, but when it does, it's pretty swell.
Came back from that interview, I think I did well at first but got somewhat sloppy later on, and I'm not sure if it was a good idea to mention that those English courses I took when I was little didn't have that much to do with learning English compared to watching/reading all that English stuff since. Also, learning Chinese would've paid off. Oh well.
On the other hand, it's my birthday.
Happy bday.
Well, I shall watch Thor and is it worth watching the other Avenger films?
I can't vouch for the Incredible Hulk but Iron Man is good.
Opinions seem kind of split on it, but I actually really liked the Incredible Hulk. Norton isn't as good a Banner as Ruffalo, but it was good.
Iron Man is probably my favorite of the Avengers lead-up movies. Iron Man 2 is a lot of fun too.
Also, happy birthday Stormtroper!
oh didn't notice the birthday commentary.
Feliz Cumple y que cumplas muchos más, viejo.
Happy birthday Stormtroper!
Hey, I have a question, if I use the highlighting tool in Adobe Reader and then print the text, will it show the higlighted part still?
You guys helped me out when I was emotionally distraught.
You guys are officially brotier in my book.
Thanks, everyone.
Oh, and happy birthday.
A tad late, but if you feel uncomfortable putting that sort of stuff out in the open, you can always ask if you can PM someone about it.
@Stormtroper: Happy birthday.
@Eelektross: Do you have to reveal this? Are people around you constantly bombarding you or staring at you with expectations of religiousness?
UNITED STATES SOCIAL SECURITY CARD: GET
@Eelektross: If you are forced to say you're an atheist, you can also add things such as that you still "respect the teachings of Jesus" as useful principles of ethics even though you do not believe in the religious particulars such as beliefs about original sin, redemption through Christ, hell and heaven, etc..
Fuckin' bluh. Soreness from Dagorhir is setting in pretty hard at this point, although I didn't do as poorly yesterday as my friends told me I would. I even outdueled one of them in our first couple of swordfights, the cocky little whelp, and got a first-match-ever kill on a dude they had each only barely gotten one kill on, who was much bigger than me.
But I'm not too sore to wish Stormtroper a happy birthday!
Happy birthday, Stormtroper!
Make it a good one, Stormtroper.
So, Catherine has a pretty kickass soundtrack, and I also played the Finale from Kalinnikov's Symphony No. 1 on Saturday, with some of the best high school musicians in the state. I'm not sure if I want to take the time to delve deeper into classical music or not, but I've hit a bit of a drought, as far as discovering new stuff goes. Unless anyone has any metal suggestions to offer?
Suidakra and Forefather.
The Forefather song I've found is pretty okay non-intrusive listening, but I don't really like folksy stuff, so I can't get into Suidakra quite as well. Thanks for the recommendations, though.
In that case, you might want to try out Demetori (if you haven't). Touhou covers, and some of the best at that.
Dark Moor has a pretty awesome cover of Vivaldi's Winter.
^^ I'm pretty okay with the Touhou covers I've heard, so I'll definitely consider that. But I feel like I'm kinda tough to give recommendations to, as a generality, or at least annoying, as a -core kid. I don't like most of the classic bands (Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, et cetera what-have-you and-so-on), and prefer new!Black Tide. >.>;
^ I'll check that out, too.
EDIT: Damn. This is pretty glorious, not gonna lie.
> I don't like most of the classic bands
>Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin
We can never be anything but enemies ever again.
For what it's worth, I liked Dark Moor's "Devil in the Tower". Stopped listening around the five minute mark, because I don't have that kind of attention span, but it was pretty cool, even though I'm more into darker and heavier metal.
EDIT:
>listening to some Cattle Decapitation
>oh, hey, this is actually pretty cool
>goddamn bree bree vocals
>come on, man
