I don't have a problem with Shoujo art itself, it's the panel layouts that give me fits. I have to reread pages fairly often to figure out the order of events which needless to say is a very immersion breaking experience.
How much is premade? How much prep is done?
Guh I'm toast tomorrow
Edit: Doesn't help that I'm a kinetic and audio learner - I can learn fast, but only when doing the action (audio only works if I spend 15 or more minutes repeating the same syllables over and over and over again)
I feel that way about every single shounen manga I've ever read, which is likely why I don't read much manga.
I feel that way about manga in general. It just does too many things I don't like (B&W art, messy and unreadable layout and the whole right-to-left thing)
I've never found any of the layouts messy, but then again 90s comics kid.
I dunno, I've read manga before where it took me several minutes to even figure out what order I was supposed to read the panels in. Though I think it was only ever that bad like one time, and I can't even remember what manga it was.
Though really my biggest problem with reading manga is just that I always try to read too fast, which makes it harder for me to actually, like, pay any attention to what's going on at all.
In my few years of seriously reading Japanese comics, I've never had to turn a page and re-read anything.
*Finally has courses I want to take picked out. All of them are filled up*
I hate it when people fucking pick EVERYTHING then drop courses later. >.> They should put a limit on the number of classes people can be registered for at once, because every time the courses open up about a month before classes, which means people are taking FAR more than 5 courses
^^ [Asian joke of your preference goes here]
This is who took my name on Last.fm? Fucking hell
^^^ Hahahahahahahaha I know that feel.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying when people take your name on a site, but I imagine it's even worse when the person who took your name doesn't even use it. I don't think that that's ever happened to me though. I'm surprised it happened to you actually, considering your name has, like, random numbers in it (that is, should be less likely for people to have taken it).
Ah, signing up for classes. I don't think I've ever had a good experience with that, even in high school.
I didn't take Computer Programming 2 in my sophomore year because of a schedule conflict.
I wonder what I'd be doing now if there were no conflict.
Maybe I'd be the webmaster of IJBM or something.
Saw Avengers again with dad.
Ordering some lamb shawarma.

Suddenly I have memories of that middle-eastern food truck outside building 68 at MIT.
$3.25 for a styrofoam box lunch of meat and veggies over rice. So awesome.
>Party
>Get called to play doorman at frat because no-one else available
My rage, all of it.
nothing makes sense anymore
Well, they sound exactly the same except with slightly better, though also less hilarious, vocals. So... I dunno.
I don't know how often they do 6/8, but that's a really slow song for Dragonforce. The vocalist is better, too. The lyrics are the same, though.
Well it's slow for them, yeah, but it wouldn't be the first slower song they had. If the whole album's like that though, then I'll be surprised.
Yeah, I know. I'm just adjusting to the idea that they'd make a music video for anything but uber-fast power metal. Unfortunately, they've effectively ripped off tons of other bands' styles, merely adding stupidly showy guitar solos. Well, maybe not stupid. As much as it's still rather unoriginal, I liked it.
Gah, why has nobody thought of making a flash simulator of the ocarina from Ocarina of Time? Would be great to play songs without having to turn on the wii, load the game, and get out the ocarina each and every damn time x.x
For me, Dragonforce is all about the tongue-in-cheekness; they're essentially this generation's version of Manowar.
KOF soundtracks stuck in my head, all day every day.
Bleh. I KNOW I have to learn programming if I want a decent job in the game industry (otherwise I should be prepared to be used and abused then fired once I burn out from doing too much art), but programming doesn't hold my interest that well
I find it neat, but the whole learning curve throws me for a loop x.x
Try a book called "Head First C#". It's significantly less dry than most books of its kind, and by the time you've completed it, you'll have made a couple of simple games. Then you can use the XNA platform which works with C#, which is pretty popular amongst indie developers.
I also bought Every Time I Die's Ex Lives, finally. Pretty intense record so far.
Oh, and the All-State concert went pretty well, too, that's probably worth mentioning.
Good thing I logged in when I did, Alex. I'm gonna look dat shit up.
I'm about a week and a half into using the book, and about one third of the way through it. Be prepared to be challenged and perhaps even frustrated at points, but if you read carefully and double-check your work, everything will work. If not, Google will be your safety net.
Found a torrent with all of the flash comics
